Good idea. I'll do it if no one else wants to. Huh. I was expecting something like "NO sh** SHERLOCK" .. oh well. Let's see who else can.

HAHAHA I never even saw this thread. Expect something later. If either of you did the matches, it wouldn't be even ground. The 'hoster' has the advantage of doing a rerun if the result isn't to his liking. There needs to be a neutral person to do the honor of pitting bot A against bot B.

Hey RedlineM203, you didn't have to post your wonderful insight in my thread, your opinion isn't wanted anyways. Thanks for attempting to contribute though, oh wait you didn't. My bad, that's right you're just making a fool of yourself. Real men don't assume dominance, they prove it.

Reier if you enter a weaponless bot in CC2 i'll be very disappointed.
You already lost to a SFTW in BBEANS5, what if you lose again to a SFTW in CC2 ? He said himself it's a joke bot. Since when did tourneys mean so much?

Hmm, Joe, could I possibly tweak my entry? You wouldn't have to change the AI. You seem to of missed it JoeBlo :|

I'm starting to think that DSL 3 would be different enough to operate under a different title than DSL. In other words, a whole new mod rather then a patch to an existing one. Actually, yes, that's sensible.

I do. Windows Media Player (the old one, actually) tries to stream it otherwise. And we all know that Windows Media Player sucks at streaming.

You can always ask for volunteers if you want some of the bots there rebuilt to DSL 3 versions. Just tell them what you want to be done.
Oh yeah, are the wedges still as effective in DSL 3 when friction comes into play? From the sounds of it,you're going to have to tweak the wedges so they're real close to the ground, but not touching it. It might just put more strategy into DSL, less effective wedges.

Ack! I would've said that's underpowered... ant batteries are only 10v each, right? thats 60v - and the dual perm needs 200-and-something doesnt it? Actually, only burst motors HAVE to be fully powered. Probably drive as well. Power for the Spinning weapon can be halved.

This site alone has over 3500 members, perhaps we could make a dent? I looked at the post counts of very one of those 3500 members (OK, I sorted their total posts and looked at the numbers.) There are 114 pages of members on the Members list. 96 of those pages are full of members haven't posted once, or otherwise had their posts deleted. Another page is half filled with people with the same amount of 'activity.' So, 96x30+15... 2895 members who haven't done sh** on this site. That leaves 505 members who atleast posted once. Let's not filter it even more. Oh what the , I'll filter it more anywayOf the 17 and a half pages of members who did something, Only 6 pages (minus one person) have posted 10 times. That leaves 179.

Which is better? Wrong. This design of weapon can do well against weapons like HS and VS by trapping them in the rack. It also can cause effective damage if it attacks a wheel or corner. Or First one's weapon system and weight distribution were definitely better.
Ever wondered why 90% of Stock pokers and rammers have their all their weapons in a straight line (NOT a V-shaped setup, but a wall of irons/maces/etc) and use only weapons of the same length ?
Well it's the same in DSL.

@ Red: You're right, I just got lucky in that match; it loses 75% of the time.
I think the spikes are fine, though I wonder if the placement of the 2 weapon types should be reversed (put the Light DS Teeth where the razor tips are and vice versa), or left the same. Well, my LW poker has 6 pointy tips (Will probably change sometime), and my BW poker (Dynamo) has 3 razor tips. My 172.1kg bot almost matches your LW's attack potential. EDIT: Oh wait, I didn't notice the light DS teeth. But they're useless until the razor tips go anyway.

Before Redline, I used to be RAMPAGE. But it was taken on a certain browser based game. So I had to come up with something new, and original. Fast.
Redline was probably subconciously taken from the fact I used to love cars. (Now it's just like.)
M203 was another decision based on not being able to get Redline. It came from the grenade launcher, which I found out about on a UT mod called Tactical Ops. M4A2M203. (Or was it M4A1M203? Who cares, it's just a number difference.)
