No, Stock flippers really do suck, even if they're rupters.
My testing has disproved this. But we'll see how the tournament goes.

You don't want to delete them, just make them unseen in the work area. F7 brings up and removes the Layers tab. F5 is Tools, F6 is History (What you've done to the image), and F8 is Colours.

Decals must be either .bmp or .tga files, uncompressed (12 or 16 kb, I don't remember). Skins must be .bmp files, but the Decals, Edges, Surface things ONLY WORK ON 256x256 BMP FILES. That is a critical thing to remember if you ever want to improve the resolution of your bot skins.

Either that, or if you're actually using Paint.NET, you need to be sure you're working isn't being obscured by any layers above it. For instance, if you have a pure black layer on top of a pure white layer, any work you do on the white layer won't be seen until you uncheck the checkbox beside the pure black layer. That effectively makes it invisible, and you can see what's underneath it.

I'll just replace the weakest Replicas & RA2 Extra bots (Tailwhip, Spin Bonker etc.) to those new entries..
That seems the logical thing to do to me. The replicas, and I know we discussed this earlier, seem similar to byebots in my view. In that they're only there to fill up the remaining places. I think the RA2 entries could be taken out of the main bracket, but perhaps left in the side events. Similar to how Eye Of Newt, Six Pac and Gnasher competed exclusively in either Pinball or Soccer in Series 3.

Can some of the replicas not be put aside to make space for GTM members? It seems a bit daft to me that some members aren't getting in that way.

Do like. Series 2 was the best series, in my view.

TP:
Heat E

Ah, didn't see this until now. An excellent performance by Hubris 2 there, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it does in the semis    :approve:
Yes, and now we will have to see how NFX's bot fairs in its heat against Hypno-Disc and Thermidor 2.
Correct. Hopefully it will do well. Incidentally, which version of Taur are you using?
I think it is Taur 1, the bots skin is just totally black.

Yeah, that's Taur 1. Genesis. =P

On a side note, I suddenly feel like a Bacon Cheeseburger.
So, I can eat you now?
You'll have to ketchup to me first to relish the moment   :coolface

There must be a fault with my humour detector. Either that or you're just not very funny. =P

It doesn't have to be effective necessarily. You could simply enter something that looks cool, like Cage Of Mirrors in B4ttleBots.

what do you mean by *stock*?

I cant use DSL parts?

still thinking if imma join....

Stock means what you get in a standard copy of RA2. No mods applied, apart from Smart Zones, they're necessary to AI. No DSL parts.

Yeah, Judge Burst is a cheatbot2 part, as are all the replica parts. Put your robot's name as "cheatbot2", case sensitive, then press Enter. You're hear an evil laughter noise, and a flash on the screen. Head to the Components tab, and you'll have all the hidden components, like the Judge Burst, Stock parts and a bunch of other stuff. Just be aware that some components, like the Nightmare Tooth and Thermidor Wheel, crash the game when you try to attach them. They need BFE to be attached, and I've never really been certain why.

Could you simply add it over the soundtrack in whatever you're using to make the videos?

The Control Board can be stacked into the Blackvolt. It's a pretty difficult stack to pull off, it requires a steady hand and a lot of patience, but it is doable, and perfectly within the rules for RWS8, IIRC.

If you do decide to add an iron spike on the front, make sure it doesn't prevent robots getting onto the flippers. If you take a look through my showcase for the first version of Iron Oxide, that might be the way you'd want to go about adding an iron on the front. Just to stop them going straight over the top.

JoeBlo had over 100 in the previous system. :gawe: I think ACAMS was around 70.
Likewise, I think mine was about 40 or so at its peak, but I don't remember exactly.
The highest I remember yours being was around 27 or 28. Then it plummeted for some reason, I don't remember why. Then it sort of leveled out again.
