How can that be faster than the first one ? Both versions have same total torque (2WD HPZ = 96 torque) and have roughly same weight.
Anyways, the plow setup is better now.
Sorry, I just meant that it turns faster. (Although it does gyro dance if it does so.) Forward speed is still about the same. @Pwnator: That's revenge for BBEANS5.

lol the wedgeless bot with sledgehammers beat the wedged VS.
I like Minotaur and No U Turn.

Has this idea ever been thought of?
(Image removed from quote.)
The ovals are casters, the badly drawn line is a side-hammer and the right angle is the chassis. The idea is that one side is invincible whilst the other side hits the other bot over and over again. I'm gonna make a bot like this. Thoughts?
Basically like Pwnator's Halftone, but with casters.

Sage should recognize this bot. Took my challenge bot with the hammers, changed the weapons, added another ram plate, gave it a slightly wider wheel base and called it Heaven's Sawmill 2. (Don't tell no mandy, I planned to do that from the beginning. In case it wasn't obvious from the name Hammermill.)It's faster, wedgier, and just as powerful as the first Heaven's Sawmill. And by wedgier, I mean WEDGIER. It has incredible wedges that slide under Hot Wheels effortlessly... but there's a catch. It has to be driving straight. If it turns even moderately quickly, it gyro-dances and lifts up its wedges, ruining them. So it requires very careful driving in order to be good.DSA and 2 Supervolts.

You know BOTM bots are supposed to be secret, right? Don't showcase anything you plan on entering.
And Eclipse has a lot of razors. :O Heroic Sacrifice only has 8... but it has one more battery, and more casters.
The new Poptart looks great; very efficient space management.

Is there a single entrant in this thing that has confidence in their bot?
I do! There is one way I know it could be defeated, though... it would be much better if I could have made it one 5000 kg bot instead of a multibot, but working under the size constraints that I have (you'll see what I mean), it just wasn't possible. And not for lack of trying.

Wish I could enter Frag Beetle 2. Now how to make a HW side hammer that doesn't look like FB2 and doesn't look like Vise either...

Kudos to him for creating a rocket-powered weapon design that works (I've tried but the VS that I made was too unstable).
I had to mount it on a weak servo instead of an axle in order to prevent AGOD. I originally had the hammer on an axle mount. I'm guessing the same thing happened to your VS. And I will update my Christmas Bot Bundle with Gingerbot soon.

If I'm reading this right, the deadline for signups is December 9th, which is this Thursday. At that point you've got to move on to brackets and videos, and fill any empty spots with byes.
Anyone still planning on entering, better hurry! Only 5 days left!

OK, the challenge is resolved; there's no need for this thread to decompose any further.

That already looks stronger.
Wouldn't want to machine that myself though. It looks like one of those cut-out paper snowflakes.

It's easier to make massive hybrids if you make them asymmetrical. See my Swiss Army Bot IV. You could get rid of the face spinner and top spinner on one side, and replace them with a vertical spinner.
The SnS looks surprisingly good considering that there's 50 kgs eaten up by the mostly decorative flamers.

Zinc-70 looks awesome! May not be very effective, but at least you got the cool factor down.
I would put the middle weapon motor higher (perhaps use a 45 degree angle rather than 60), so the lower ones juggle bots upward and they get trapped against the top disc. Since the middle weapons won't take as many hits, you could downgrade the razors to 5 kg teeth or beater bars, and use the extra weight to make it faster (either upgrade the wheels or the drive).

That bot looks deadly. I bet it's good against SnS because it's so wide.
Naryar fixed AGOD on one of his bots by exporting it and then importing it into a different spot. I tried that as well and it sort of worked. (AGOD is intermittent rather than constant). I don't know if that's what you mean by the anti-AGOD trick.

It needs front stabilizers, for one thing. As it is now, the bot is just going to do somersaults around the servo axle. A wedge would be a perfect stabilizer--doesn't have to be a good wedge (you don't have weight anyway), you just need something to keep the bot from tipping forward. A skirt hinge with two long poly skirts would probably do.
If you want to go the wedgeless route it's better to make a Kheper-style bot.

Chassis needs to be tilted more for optimum turnspeed, I think. Right now it's hovering on the verge of turn-ability.
But it sure does look nice.

Because batteries don't affect weight distribution.
What? Yes they do. Dunno why that bot doesn't drive straight--it IS perfectly balanced right? Must be some sort of slight AGOD. Have you tried pausing before loading? Cool MW RfD too. You really need 2 counter-rotating spinners on that design though in order to be stable. I originally put 3 spinners on RfD, but the third spinner threw off the balance and it was horrible, and 4 spinners was too heavy, so I ended up loading way too many maces on 2 tribars. If you managed to cram 2 spinners on there you might be able to get away with a Snapper 2 for the hammer since the bot won't spin around as much. Also, this is one of those rare designs that performs better as AI than human-controlled. All those battles in the RfD splash were AI'd.

Did you make all those bots?
Obelisk and The Inferno are both quite cool, and I was surprised when Fallen won that one fight... wonder if the design has merit.

Well you can try rotating the Snapper axle backwards and getting rid of that first 20cm extender... I can't guarantee it will fix the Havok, but I can guarantee it will save 2 kgs. Then you'll have 6 extra kgs total, which you can, um,... do something... with. Use 2 extenders per tribar arm maybe?

The Robot Wars arena is hard to work with. I couldn't get it to compile with Dummy's OR Serge's compiler.
You might have better luck than I did if you replace all "*USE FAR ATTENUATION" with "*USE FAR ATTENUATION =". I just found out about that from Trovaner.
