I bought both Ra1 and Ra2 within weeks of them comming out. I joined the official forums in late 06, messed up my computer and came back in the summer 07.
RS, you joined the official forums as R0B0SH4RK like a day after I joined right after bbeans 3 videos were coming out. Yeah, my first account was "roboshark" with no numbers or caps, but then I got bored for a while when I downloaded Firebeetle's component pack and everything got easy with cheat parts. I re-installed RA2 later on a newer computer and remembered how much I liked it, so I re-joined the forums around the same time as you with a new account because I forgot the password to my old one. I really don't remember BBEANS 3 at all though... Well, I just checked the web archive, and my first join date was August 20, 2006, so SD's right. The confusing thing is, the page it was on is from March 2005 :|

Haven't done many new bots lately, been playing too much Left 4 Dead.
I've killed 51,593 infected :D Nice idea. I like it, but huge wheels worry me.

Remove the plow, even up the razors and DDT's, and improve the drive and frontal protection. You have about 110 kg's to work with.

Two questions: 1) How much does it weigh? 2) How many razors + irons are there?
Other than that, :O

I bought the game about a week after it came out and joined the forums in early '05. I left just in time to miss BBEANS 3, but came back sometime in '06 I think.

Predictions, Winners bracket:
45-70 Magnum v. SurgicalStrike Winner: SurgicalStrike - The bot with the best wedges will win out here. SS gets the edge because it's faster, and better speed usually equals better wedges.
Hellbringer v. R4 Winner: R4 - R4 is faster, has more weapons, is more destructive, and has wedges on its side. A 1-hit KO would also be nice.
No Hype 5 v. Copyright Infringement Winner: Copyright Infringement - No Hype 5 does have a fighting chance, but it's DDT's are mighty exposed, and any touch will limit their power. CI will disarm it, then grind away.
Bounty Hunter v. Cocytus IV Winner: Bounty Hunter - Speed plays a large role again, but BH is just more nimble than the sluggish juggler. That being said, CIV is a well-built bot, any any AI miscue by BH could spell the end.
Seism 13 v. The Emancipator Winner: Seism 13 - VS's have below-average wedges by default, so Seism will easily scoop up TE and continue it's impressive run.
PitA 8 v. Absolute Chaos Winner: Absolute Chaos - Popups have spelt certain death for 36HS's so far, but PitA 8 has one design flaw that the others do not: a very steep front wedge. AC should grind away in some long, drawn out matches.
The Black Plague v. Shadow Tyrant Winner: Shadow Tyrant - ST is perhaps the most heavily-armoured bot in BBEANS 5, and it's also destructive. This combo really dosen't bode well for the lethargic TBP.
Crawl Through Knives 4.2 v. Death Dealer Winner: Death Dealer - This will be a close match, but CTK just isn't fast enough to combat DD. However, CTK is well-armoured, so it has a chance.
EDIT:
Predictions, Losers Bracket:
Mjorhmei v. T-800 Terminator Winner: T-800 Terminator - T-800 just has too many weapons. Mjorhmei's only chance is an OOTA, but it might not even make it far enough to get one.
Vetearn Destroyer v. Bumble Bee GHEEEEEEEEEEEY Winner: Bumble Bee GHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYY - BB should just dance on VD's chassis, but VD is quick. 2 OOTA's aren't out of the question.
Big Flip's Revenge v. Three Kings Winner: Big Flip's Revenge - 3K's back is exposed, and we saw in the last fight that one BFR always attacks from the rear. 3K does have an advantage the longer the match goes though.
Heaven's Sawmill v. Revenge of Dr. Wham Winner: Revenge of Dr. Wham - HS has pretty awful wedges, and RoDW has good ones. RoDW's plow tends to get in the way, so there could be a whole lot of nothing going on for a whole lot of time.

NWB-KO-ing MW makes me happy.
Plastic armour makes me sad.
Couldn't you move the axle in even closer to the battery, glitch out the axle and put the battery in?
Still very epic :D

(PS, did you all change forums or something? Doesn;t see to be the URL I remembered, at least for the forums...?)
The old forums tanked when atari or someone pulled the plug, so we all came here. So, yes these are the "official" forums now.

My favourites were frenZy, because it was just so fun to watch, Dr. Inferno Jr., simply because it looked cool, Snake because it was flat out badass, Atomic Wedgie, and Complete Control.

He used servos because HPZ drive with wheels does not work on robots whose bodies spin.

I still have an R/C DooAll and Blendo that I play with sometimes. I also got all of the McDonalds toys and the Toro, Grendel, Tazbot (which broke), Mauler (which self destructed), frenZy, and the arena.
Gooooooooooooood Times...

You need drive motors for chewblades to work as wheels.

I really like that bot. Just a little trick: each little "click" of the extender when it's rotating is 10 degrees. So, to rotate it 90 degrees, just rotate it 9 "clicks." You also would be better off with more spikes on the back rather than chicken-ing drills. Spike strips also only do damage on the spiky side, so rotae them as well.

There is no real trick to stacking. Well, there is. If you go into your "overview" screen in your botlab, you can zoom really far in. Zoom in as far as you can, then click the "bot construction" tab. Now, without moving your cursor over the grey space where your bot is, select the part you would like to stack. Then, position it the same as the part it will be stacked over, and move it around until it fits. Sometimes this will take 5 seconds, sometimes 10-15 minutes, so patience is key. Baseplate anchors and pink batteries are the easiest to stack, so try with those until you get the idea. The eFFe glitch can be learned here. I'm sure others have posted this link already. I highly recommend you use it. It will help you improve immensely. EDIT: Pwn beat me to it...

Generally, maces, razor tips, and iron spikes are used on spinners, because they are all light and do damage at all points. Chewblades are also pretty bad unfortunately. You would be best off with a disc with 4 maces/razors/irons on it.

It looks sweet, but fire axes only do damage at specific points, limiting their effectiveness as weapons. They're also not very weight efficient. Saw blades are pretty much ineffective against everything, but the space management is getting better. Just try to build up as close to 800 kgs with useful stuff as you can; underweight bots will only be at a disadvantage to you.

I look at the bindings now and you're right. That was the exact line I copied from my game that worked fine though. Oh well, thanks for catching it. I feel completely stupid for not seeing that massive error >.>

I remember Gravity flipping Matilda after it had won or something... That was a good fight.
