Don't know exactly how long its been there, but my AI Pack and patch is listed incorrectly. Both the Patch and the AI Pack are listed within the AI Pack section as "patches" like so: However, The Link that says "RA2GE Patch (Smaller condensed version)" should be renamed simply to, "RA2GE", as it is not a patch nor is it condensed. This is required for the Awesome Patch to run as it is the original Pack or "base" if you will and could be played by itself.
RA2GE Awesome Patch however is just a patch, not the full version. It simply fixes the bugs in the RA2GE Pack and additionally adds more codes/unlockables. It CANNOT be played by itself and requires the RA2GE Pack to run (since its a patch). Simply taking out (Full Version) should fix that up. In essence it should look like this: I apologize for not noting it sooner and any confusion in the past. Regards, Gig

Don't know if you still need help but Here try this instead: http://gigafrost.webs.com/downloadinginformation.htmEven though gametechmods has my RA2GE stated as "Full version" It isn't the full version. This is the awesome patch. The awesome patch is Supposed to be applied with to a clean copy of Robot Arena 2 WITH the EXTRACTED version of RA2GE ALREADY INSTALLED SO FIRST DOWNLOAD THIS: Download the first link in turquoise first. This is the extracted version, its in the rapidshare link. Install this into your clean copy of RA2. theres also instructions in the download. THEN Download the Awesome Patch. THIS IS REQUIRED! This allows you not only to save your bots but it also fixes a number of other bugs. Install this on top of the extracted version. The awesome Patch is at the bottom of the page.

Both of those would work. Refer to this example.
Lets say someone submits their team bots, Their Team is called Team Slapbots for example:
NOT ACCEPTABLE (Unable to differenciate between the bots) SLAPBOT -For Tournament 1 SLAPBOT -For Tournament 2 SLAPBOT -For Tournament 3
ACCEPTABLE (Shows distinction even through simple numbers. However, I prefer some more originality) SLAPBOT1 - For Tournament 1 SLAPBOT2 - For Tournament 2 SLAPBOT3 - For Tournament 3
VERY ACCEPTABLE (Names are Unique, and distinct. It's easy for me to tell the difference when I open up your Team Folder) SLAPBOT - For Tournament 1 SPINBOT - For Tournament 2 FLIPBOT - For Tournament 3

They can have different chassis and weapon setups this time around. This is because you are making an entire team and are not just limited to one design. The only restriction is that you must identify each bot individually. So MAKE SURE that they all have different names. Keep in mind that my website is old. I have to change the rules respectively. So essentially you are creating 3 robots, but if you have the ability to use just one chassis design and make 3 different bots from it, by all means do it.

Elite bots of the robotic League Battles In Tough matches Exhibition Is a Tournament like no other. This special tournament consists of 3 different types of matches which will decide if you will be the Elite! For the Discussion Thread see here DEADLINESignups are now closed. To see brackets and vids, click here. QUICK UPDATES:
7/20/10
- Two Days Left Until Signups are Officially Closed! Get those entries in ASAP!- Arena's will be Announced as soon as Mad contacts me on it. - Promotional Video In progress REVISION!
I am quite aware of the number of issues that revolved around building non damaging bots in DSL and to be honest, they did end up to become a bit of a bore. Therefore, this season, I have decided to change the rules completely (and will update the website respectively). This season, ELBITE will still require it's ELBITERS to make three bots to compete, but instead, each person will organize those bots into one team. This speeds up the organization process on my part and on your part as well. Also this time around, all three of the tournaments will be DEATHMATCHES, but in each tournament, you will get to choose which bot you would like to compete for your team. Remember, You will now be creating a team for three of your DSL-BUILT DAMAGING BOTS which will each be put into a separate tournament. Sounds good? Good. THE RULES AT A GLANCE (Not following these rules will risk you your entry into the Super Tournament) These rules apply to ALL 3 TournamentsWeightclass this season: MW Gametype: DSL Tournaments: 3 Deathmatch Tournaments + 1 Final Match Building Rules/Mission: Build 3 Damaging bots, Create a team for them (TEAM NAME IS A MUST), compete and win! More about driving (In addition to the building rules stated here): Bot's that are unable to drive straight; see driving test in BBEANS, are not allowed. Bot's MUST ATLEAST be mobile in turning Left/Right and driving Forward/Backwards. Bots that sway a little so as it doesn't affect their driving path is OK, no bot has a perfect driving system, but bots that "circle" for example are NOT OK. Number of revisions to bots: 1 for each bot made respectively. BOTS MUST BE ORIGINAL TO EACH OTHER. Bot's that look EXACTLY like each other will be confusing for Robot Arena to recognize, and me too. Give your bots different names as well so I can differentiate between them. Arenas used: 3 Different OOTA style Arenas TBA. I REALLY CAN USE HELP WITH THIS ONE. Still can't build custom arenas but I am able to skin and render. Prizes:
-2nd Place Prize: TBA
-3rd Place Prize: TBAGold Tickets: Gold Tickets are given to the winner of each tournament, therefore, a single team could win more than one ticket. These tickets could be used in your sig, and will grant you VIP access to ESIS (TBA what that is about in the future!). I will add more rules when I see fit. Number of Entrants Allowed: The ELBITE Super Tournament is an Elite Competition. Due to the lack of a Loser's bracket and the unique quality of having 3 Tournaments in event, we will only be accepting 32 entrants. This means that 32 entrants x 3 Tournaments = 96 Possible match ups, not counting the matches when your team bots go against each other which will not be allowed. If you do become matched up with one of your own bots, there are a number of things that one could consider. -Multibots: Multibots are indeed allowed. Just keep in mind that They would still count as one bot.-Choice Tags: If by the rare occurrence that more than one your bot ends up in the finals. Both of your bots will get a Choice Tag Before your match even continues. A Choice Tag is a little red tag that will be placed on your bots entry pictures indicating that you must choose one of them in order to continue. The empty space left by the bot that was not chosen will become a number of things: -It will turn into a ByeBot of which the other competitor will go up against. For more on ELBITE's ByeBots, check out my website and related links. -The empty space will turn into the In Queue competitor in the waiting list. This is ONLY if that competitor has won an ELBITE Badge before (Badges must be PM'd to me as proof). -Move up the previous contender. And now, here are the SEASON 1 ELBITERS! Round of applause for winning a tough spot to compete in ELBITE! (Remember to state your team name when you submit if you want to apply) RED indicates ELBITERS who plan to attend. ORANGE indicates submitted teams undergoing validation. GREEN indicated Teams are well validated for entry in the tournament. Keep in mind that due to gametech's new rules on Tournaments, The names in red will be replaced by entrants who submit their team and bots.
NOTE: Messages in PURPLE tell you what you need to correct or missed in your entry.
FINAL VALIDATION IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY! VALIDATION WILL END ON TOMORROW NIGHT 12:00 AM EST. BETWEEN TODAY AND TOMORROW EXPECT PM'S IN YOUR INBOX STATING WHETHER YOU ARE READY TO GO OR IF YOU NEED TO MAKE SOME MINOR CHANGES. Currently the tournament is falling in the direction of DSL MW with Stock HW falling close behind, all of the rest have one vote so far: STOCK - LW 1 (5.6%) STOCK - MW 1 (5.6%) STOCK - HW 6 (33.3%)DSL - LW (Realistic Rule) 1 (5.6%) DSL - MW (Realistic Rule) 8 (44.4%)DSL - HW (Realistic Rule) 1 (5.6%)
This poll will close on Monday, so be sure to get your opinion noted! I am still waiting ACAMS as well, to see if it is ok for me to redo it. Hopefully I can redo it.
@ Golden Fox - I will consider the use of flailing weapons and the billions of Irons. A originality rule maybe. in the meantime, i doubt that will be an issue.

Good morning everyone, a really long time no see, I hope all is well.
Now I must both apologize and confess on behalf of my absence and the massive tie in with my college schedule. I had become overwhelmed with my own life to the point that I became completely preoccupied with ELBITE. I'm taking up a career in web design (which is very demanding) and i never really had a chance to get some free time with this wonderful forum. But technology just isn't on my side since i've left...
Luckily however, Things have died down, and now that I'm back on the forums, in short, I guess that you and I can both agree that the current robots that have competed seem a little "dated". To top it off, as i said before with the technology/server issues, due to some bug on my system (or virus), my computer was not able to power on. The only option was to completely reinstall my Operating System, thereby, losing not only most of my ELBITE things, the competitors, the arenas, and the robots, but everything I ever made previously on Robot Arena 2, RA2GE, and all. It's been a while and now, coming back, I feel ashamed having to come back to you with such a devastating story. But as one famous person said, "____ Happens."
I guess all I'm asking is that if it is ok with you guys for me to re-open the ELBITE SuperTournament, so more people can enter and so i, no, we, can start afresh... It's completely in the hands of the staff and i understand completely if they disagree with it at all. I just really want to contribute to this forum for my loss and am willing to announce it not only to ACAMS and comp. but to the community, so you all know the reason as to why this thing hasn't been up and running like it should. I really want to finish this awesome event and i know you all want to as well, so your input is greatly appreciated.
Regards, Giga

Simple Machines are good. But I also love Invision, since its where I was born and raised with RA2. It's like nostalgaic to me and perhaps alot of the other vets... but that's just me.

How do you determine ranking if two bots have the same number of wins? Usually that can be determined by what standard tournaments and even my ELBITE tourneys do to break a tie. but I'll use my system as an example. For a tie, there are a series of methods that are undergone: Method 1: After the matches of the bots have completed, Their total point scores are added up (even if your bot uses non-damaging weapons like a snow plow, they are still able to score a point or two in some cases) and organized. Theres a record for each individual match score and the cumulative score (all the points the bot scored from each match it won so far is added up). Now since there is a high probability that no two bots will have the same score from match to match, the first thing is to compare the two scores of the tiying bots. If one scored higher, quite simply, he is the winner. Method Two: Now in even more rare cases, the bots even have the same score in that match (which was not even discovered in my no-weapons table-top bouts) We can simply compare the cumulative points of the two bots and mark the bot with the higher points the winner there. If even the cumultative scores are tied (which chances are, will never happen in reality) Then its best to just redo the match altogether. Unless it is more of a less serious tournament and everyone is up for a game of head and tails.
