Seeing as Yugitom so kindly threw some nostalgia my way by uploading a picture of the actual card I stole based the original design off of, I decided to completely rebuild Drillroid in DSL 2.2. I would have posted this in my DSL showcase but, let's face it, this thing is not IRL. At half the weight of the previous version (1950kg instead of 4500kg) Drillroid has also gained some new features... The main body now articulates to act as a pinning weapon with the two little arms there to balance as well as being able to self right the big guy! And of course to finish it off I decided to slap a thick wedge on the front.

I really like the flipper setup with the differing heights! :)

Really struggled with these two, I have a grand total of eight versions of Bronco and three versions of Bite Force because I kept messing the dimensions up. I will more than likely come back to Bronco in the future as I'm still not happy with the overall shape, the flipper looks more like the Matador's than Bronco's and the front is messy AF. Bite Force is looking sharp though - Bite Force (Season 2) - Bronco (Season 2)

Excellent job on Chimera 2, Resetti! The skinning work in particular is really well done! As I've not made any new replicas in a while I thought I'd get myself back into the swing of things by ticking off two bots I've put off doing; - Clockwork L'Orange Clockwork L'Orange is more of an interpretation than a replica, there's such little information on this bot that I kind of just had to wing it based on the one picture I could find... - Clockwork L'Orange & Bucktooth Burl And as for Bucktooth, it's a simple design and for some reason I struggle more with simpler designs than complex ones. Took me several rebuilds to get the chassis shape right and even now the back isn't as neat as I'd like it. I saw a CAD with the wheel guard added and personally thought it looked better so I threw them on too.

- CONTAGION - 794.0kg Weight x2 Magmotors (Drive) x2 WP836E Batteries x1 Dual Perm 130 (Weapon) A Glass Cannon, it can't contain the excitement of having two spinners and ends up exploding if a member of the audience eats their popcorn too loudly. Essentially this is what happens when you build without a plan and suddenly realise it's past midnight and you have work in six hours...

- HULL BREACH - - Front View. 799.9kg Weight x2 Magmotors (Drive) x1 Perm 130 (Weapon) x2 WP836E Batteries The other bot I built alongside Submission, essentially just a basic VS setup which turned out like a strange combination of Shard & Bad Kitty with Explosion's colour scheme. I had originally wanted to build a spinner that looks like a honeycomb but alas that idea is on the backburner for a while... - Fighting an overturned Submission. PS: Thank you to everyone for all the birthday messages :) x1 Ax2250 Control Unit Wow! My family's too poor to afford a whole Ax2250 Control Unit!
Is this a joke that I'm just not getting?
It's just plain sarcasm over the fact that you listed a control unit in the robot's key features.
Ah fair enough, I just wasn't sure if it was relevant enough to include or not and decided to just list it anyway. My bad...

Thank you for the feedback guys! I feel like I'm finding my niche when it comes to IRL building and balancing weight/looks/effectiveness is still proving to be an interesting challenge! Speaking of balancing weight/looks/effectiveness I've made some changes to Cardiac Arrest, mostly reducing the extra junk in the trunk and putting it somewhere useful! The weapon which has been rebuilt now has more bite and the Perm belt is properly going around the extender and not through it. Finally used the last little bit of weight I'd saved to bulk to wedge out with wedge edges and 30 degree angled pieces! x1 Ax2250 Control Unit Wow! My family's too poor to afford a whole Ax2250 Control Unit!
Is this a joke that I'm just not getting?

Jumped into the world of DSL building again, this time without having much of an idea what to build I started with a basic hammer setup and just kind of went from there resulting in; - SUBMISSION - 795.5kg Weight x4 Slimbodys (Drive Motor) x1 Hammer Servo (Weapon Motor) x2 WP836E Batteries x1 Ax2250 Control Unit - Front View - Submission's Hammer Fired

As others have said its the nature of the beast unfortunately, extenderbots generally have more components that the already glitchy engine has to account for. Half the time I can have long fights with hundreds of bits spewn across the floor and the other half I get a crash after one small collision.

Really nice, looks a little like one of Craaig's bots!

Lol Thyrus, cheers lads! That's within the weight limit? No ****ing way. You're a god, man
It was a challenge, I had to sacrifice having a chassis and reduce the weapon size to fit it all in! Real ****in nice
You're gonna want to put some of the wedge edges (can't remember the exact name) on your front armour panels so your bot doesn't get outwedged by everything under the sun
Whoops, thanks for reminding me! I've built and deleted the front so many times I've forgotten to rebuild those...

Here's another crack at a DSL IRL Heavyweight, the end result turned into a combination of Tornado's frame with Season Two Bite Force's Weapon Setup and a police car themed paint job which gives us; "Cardiac Arrest" - Vertical Bar Spinner 795.8kg Weight x4 Slimbodys (Drive Motor) x1 Perm 130 (Weapon Motor) x4 WP836E Batteries x1 Ax2250 Control Unit

Does the tail on Warhead work?
Yeah of course each section of the tail is attached to a low powered burst motor in a chain to create the effect. The head can rotate too, I've tried recreating the headstand in game and I used to be able to do it really easily until I put all that armour on it.

How you have the patience to do this stuff is beyond me.
Whenever the bot builder starts to irritate me I take a sip of Pinot.

 - Warhead (Spinner Version) Nightmare now has a friend in the "weighing 4000.0kg club", unfortunately for Nightmare it had to be Warhead. I'm actually looking forward to making the Dinosaur head at some point in the future too.

Wow, blown away, which one is the heaviest?
Nightmare by far. EDIT: I just noticed I included an older version of Beta with a janky af wedge but c'est la vie.

Damn, how did you get Wheeliwako's chassis like that? Is it using drums? Amazing work as always Resetti! I've made some significant changes to Lockjaw so that it's now the same size as the rest of my bots... I don't know what I was thinking using Motorcycle Wheels but oh well... - Lockjaw V3
