Why are you using Fireman axes exactly?
As for the turning, the falling over problem can be fixed by having some 150cm extenders on the back, possibly in a V like shape. Still looks nice and I love the Jupiter drive setup.

considering that skirt hinges are also burst motors, i'm not sure what kind of benefit  you could even get.
Possibly stronger axles? DSL is still behind on fixing those.

Somebody got triggered.
I do like his bot designs, wonder if we'll actually see walker bots that look like bugs one day(I do know it's possible).
im confused at how pizzaguys bots are considered good enough but not botos

or did he like not send them on time

Boto just didn't send his; I seem to remember him saying that he didn't think they were good enough.

I don't pass quality judgments, I just play meme music over RA2 fights.
While I knew the story behind it, the way it's said in the post still makes it sound a bit like that(and knowing how you wanted Pizzaguy's bots to fight against something again, it makes it sound like a lame excuse), I know that's not what you meant, you offered boto to take part in the bonus episodes if he wanted(and he probably didn't enter the main competition because he wasn't happy with his bots), with that stuff out of the way, it's one of the funniest videos of this, you were right when you told boto that it was a great match on Discord. A track from Tricycle Takedown returns.

so why is waluigi on the walls
aesthetic

what happened with the wedges by the way? It looked like they would be glitching around like loaded axles.
I'm not sure what you mean?  Which match and when?
In the extra leftovers rumble starting from 0:14, look at how your bot bounces and how the wedges are.

Did you run that SHW or is that next gen AI? Also what's that song, I do remember it from somewhere?

Actually, I intentionally didn't use any Undertale music this tournament just to prove that I could.  As far as the grand dad thing, I have some bad news for you regarding the rest of the bonus episodes.

Speaking of which, LW rumble!

That's alright, I knew that this tournament would have it and it's ok with that, I just meant for the future, wouldn't want to see that in literally every tournament you host after this one. Undertale music is fine, the game does have a nice soundtrack and you don't seem to be one of those "Undertale is perfect in every way, praise Toby, the only guy that knows how to make games" guys, so feel free to use it as much as you want. Speaking of which, Waluigi's Undertale Pinball Kart Track?

Is anybody having a problem getting the custom arenas to work? the stunt arena and the obstacle course (my two personal favorites) do not work. Is it working for anyone else, if it is a universal problem with DSL 2.2 does anybody know if a patch is being worked on?

Universal DSL 2.2 problem, wish we'd just get a inofficial 2.2.1 patch for that stuff and some components not clipping when they should(like sawblades)

I don't think either would stand up to modern bots well.
The Metanoia/G-Man chassis has history on GTM too, Haz used to own it.
I remember seeing a imgur post about that one as well when someone made a "anyone remember Robot Wars" gif.

Contests / Re: VOTE BoTM September 2016
« on: September 07, 2016, 01:40:29 PM »
Win was a nice surprise but more importantly thanks to everyone who participated and supported BOTM and MNB for putting it on, entry count looked a lot stronger this month, lets keep it that way :)

Warfare looks incredibly bland/unorigial, but all the plebs will vote for it because everything else is awful.

Not really the most unique thing ever, but still attractive.  My mind is thinking Joey or Badger built this.

Am I missing something or Did strafing become trendy in my absence? few years ago I was pretty much the only guy crazy enough to use it :P

Then again, I think this is the third BOTM I have won with a strafing robot.. so maybe im making myself bland? lol

did something change in Stock? Last I remember Shinies don't work when the motor notch is upward like that

Works reasonably enough on this setup for its purpose, not as quick as the other 2 motors but gets the job done.. grannys were too ugly

The only bot that looks like it might actually have taken advantage of component freedom (though it could just be really good stacking with regular glitches).

Nope just barebones stock on board, snapper loading and eFFe and some decent luck on the stacking. :)
Nah, I haven't seen strafing/skid steering used a lot, however I've been thinking about using it, and I wonder how it would work with no resistance back wheels. Congratulations on the win.

You're a victim of your own success, I guess.
Tbh, I thought your bot was about as original as you can get with a combat effective stock MW.

I guess nobody used RA2 CF though. That's cool, I'm allowing it for October as well.
What about wen? unless those are attached to the Snapper 2's.

General Support / Re: Why is AI rear ending me?
« on: September 07, 2016, 10:57:22 AM »
nose value wouldnt make the bot turn arena and drive into the wall. i would guess it has to do with some wheel meshes being changed from 2.1 to 2.2 which causes this. the bots would have to be rewired then to fix it.
Some arenas are broken in DSL 2.2(any of the freestyle arenas crash) Flextop makes bots drive backwards somehow, so it might be a glitch in the Arena py or the events.txt(I've heard that some stuff in there can cause that too) itself?

Also they're obviously using Bronco's butt wedge tactic.

Complete Control will not compete in season 3.
I've heard about this a good month or so ago, sucks to hear that, but I've heard that Mega Tento has plans to add a flamethrower(flamethrowers work great if you can get them to stay on a bot for a while) should be a interesting bot.

huh, using bracket wedges to get by the no wedge rule. interesting
Yeah, I totally thought no wedges included the bracket wedge, but I guess it's not explicitly banned.
If those were banned you could start using spike strips :P Brackets are also a little harder to use and won't work as well for popups, think using them for designs like this here however works very well, if it only wasn't for the weight.

Started working on what I for now call `pyra25`. It's basically what pyra2 was, but sprinkled with not-invented-here syndrome and Python 3 compatibility. Hopefully it could be used for wonderful things like bot exchanges or Blender exporters. It's what GMFClass (remember that? :P) would have been if I knew what I was doing 8 years ago.

I'm at the point where I'm experimenting with what kind of API I want to see, and I'm implementing a basic GMF parser. Definition of a GMI node type currently looks as follows:
No idea when this will be done. I'm at the boring part where I'm going over all node types and implementing them. Nice part is that once this is done, we can hopefully autogenerate some pretty concise documentation on the GMF/GMA file format!
I've seen some of it in the discord and only have one thing to say about it:
OMG YES!
Seriously, this is amazing and having a blender im/exporter(so we have full compatibility of getting the parts back and easily creating new ones without paying for that expensive 3ds max license would be a dream come true(also pyra2 seems to be really outdated and barely working, you might remember the thread I made about it), thanks for doing this so much and once the exporters get into alpha, I'd love to test them out and later create a full RA2 mod that uses only new created parts.
