I'm in London currently (and as a result, away from my PC,) but considering all I need to do is rebuild one of my bots, It shouldn't be too long before I send something over. I don't think I have time to AI however.
If you have time to build, you have time to AI. AI'ing takes ~2 minutes.
It's more that I don't know how (as shown because I didn't know how long it took)

-Uneven wedges are a no. Mount the Snapper 2 motors perpendicular to the chassis to improve the wedges
-There is no reason to have the drive motors hanging out, get them internal to save a little bit of weight
-Try to get HP-Ztek drive, they only add ten more kilos
-Stay away from angle connectors, they waste a ton of weight
I was able to even out the wedges, but that was all I was able to do with the design. I could put the wheels facing inwards, but then I had the "it doesn't move" problem again. I'd rebuild the robot if it's really necessary, but I think I'll go over the weight limit if I do. It's probably worth a shot, anyway.

I changed the robot a little. I made the decision to make it 2WD so I could fit A) more razors onto the disc and B) wedges onto the robot. This was at the sacrifice of some of the battery power, but I thought "It's -2 Z-Teks so it should be enough with one large battery." I did want to stick with the 4WD design, but I feel as if that wouldn't have worked as effectively as I'd want it to. The disc's blades are low to the ground, so that should work well with the wedges. The 2 razors facing upwards on the disc may be unnecessary; I'm not sure. It now weighs 393.8 KG. Uses DSA. Hopefully it's still within the Back To The Roots tournament rules; I'm unsure if the disc having 6 razors breaks any rules.

I bought a film for about £2.50 at a service station on the way to Alton Towers recently.
So that means the most recent movie I watched was Foodfight.

For my sake, I hope Complexertivity gets sent to losers. Nothing personal, the bot is great and if it wins, it deserves it, but a popup is an instant loss for me.
Comperplexitivity is a HS, what do you mean?
Comperplexitivity is fighting a popup. If Comperplexitivity wins, I'm fighting it in Losers.
I may win using my power from the god himself Razor Guy. You screwed either way anyways lmao
It's less "who do I want to win" and more "how do I want Darts to die". Either way, I'll have "Only Time" playing while I watch Loser's round 2 when it gets uploaded. 1 like = 1 respect = 3 prayer for darts

from the looks of it, it doesn't really even look liike it needs the wheels outside of the chassis. also, weight?
It weighs 391.8 KG. The wheels on the outside thing is because they don't fit inside. And because I saw everyone else do it in the "The Cauldron" tournament. I assumed it was a good idea.

Rotating the Z-Tecs... Z-Teks... whatever way you say them, appears to have worked. Here's another image of the robot; I'm starting to think the 2 wheels on the front aren't necessary. The chassis is supposed to be a 'H' because I wanted to call the finished entry "Full Metal Honda" because I'm a car freak and I'm bad with names. Was gonna make this; kawaii hachiroku needs to be a robot now.
However that's an idea I'm saving for RA3.

This next robot is less "I made a thing" and more "I need help with a thing." So, uh... say hello to Satan's hellspawn! (that's not the name but it is an accurate description) I'm not sure what I've done wrong here. I saw a lot of robots using Z-Tec motors for wheels in Geice's "The Cauldron" stock MW tournament and I decided I'd try making something along the lines of what everyone else made, as they knew a lot more about what they were doing than I did. But, whenever I try to test this, it can't move. It just stops dead right where it started. For the record, I literally threw the weapon on there 5 minutes ago. I have no clue how much damage it does (probably not a lot) Sooo... what exactly have I done wrong? Do I need to post more images of different viewing angles?

Don't worry, bot updates of any sort are fine, i should have precised that before signups started, ****.. also i'm gonna push the signups up to Monday for any last entrants.
Also Joelu of England, that seems fine to me, but i'll still need the bot file just to be safe, also there is likelihood for you to get steamrolled by the more experienced people who entered this if you enter that bot, i won't stop you, but i'm just warning you
I may just end up sending that robot. I was gonna build something different, something more like what everyone else builds, but I'm struggling to get it to work properly (the thing can't even move, somehow the wheels are off the ground despite being bigger than the motors and taller than the chassis.)

Oh, that? There's a losers bracket, where if you lose, you get sent there and continue the tournament there. Go check the brackets on the first page, Geice posted them.
Yeah, Darts has no defense against popups (I didn't know what they were and how big of a threat they would be) so it's no surprise it did nothing to VRI-6C. You should probably put that post in a spoiler, I've realized. Kinda gives away the battle to anyone browsing the thread.

090901? Your bot lost. Try again next time. And Joelu Of Engleland? what is darts.02
...my robot. The one with "Darts" on the top and bottom.

And that's why I need to learn to AI. GG battledutchman, sorry for making the fight boring.
(I should've probably said GG to Lightning S. too, sorry about that.)
EDIT: For my sake, I hope Complexertivity gets sent to losers. Nothing personal, the bot is great and if it wins, it deserves it, but a popup is an instant loss for me. And that's who I'll fight if Butterfly Sting loses its Round 2 fight.

*blah blah blah whining wall of text about being a tw@ blah blah*
Uhh hate to break it to you but Darts 1.0 is actually better since with how 1.1's weapons are setup only 1 razor's gonna hit the opponent.
Oh. That's not what happened when I tested it, but ok. Regardless, you see how the red extender goes through the plow? That's the main reason why it's worse. The extender got damaged very easily, causing Darts' weaponry to fall off which made him lose its means of attack very early on in its test fights. The extenders on 1.1 are shorter, and only the razors clip through the plow, as intended. Also, 1.0 has these razors close to the robot's chassis that don't hit anything. They were moved on 1.1, so it can potentially hit with more razors and can have backup razors in case the main ones are broken off. Having 2 razors at the end of the tribar honestly didn't seem to hinder it in any way. I mean, if it does hinder it, then I've earned my title of 'noob builder' but I noticed a significant increase in points which gave the message to me that Darts was doing more damage.

ROUND 2
VRI-6C < Rules OF Nature I think VRI-6C will have difficulty doing damage to Rules of Nature. That's not me saying it's impossible though.
Zealot > Rough N' Tumble I think Zealot's got the weaponry to win. Rough N' Tumble's gonna have a hard time dealing damage without taking lots of damage itself.
Hopes And Dreams < Long Schlong I'm not too sure about this one... I'm thinking probably Long Schlong because of it's powerful weapon? I honestly am really not sure.
Complexertivity < Butterfly Sting I'm assuming the popup would have the advantage in this matchup.
LOSERS ROUND 1
Darts.02 > Radioactive Whale
tfw bias I believe my robot will win on damage. If I'm flipped close to the wall, however... who knows. I still think the fight is in my favor.
Adopted Nazi = Zoom Zoom Flip-Kun! I have no clue.
Wedge war.
Wedge war never changes.
DONT TREAD ON ME < Crouching Robot, Hidden Bear Hidden Bear is high enough off the ground to not get flipped.
Re\/olution > Starburst III Same reasoning as stated above, except apply it to Re\/olution.

Thanks, and sorry I sent you the wrong one.

just wondering, can anyone see the video thumbnails in the thread? they don't show up for me so kind of kind of wondering if I did them wrong.
I can't see them.

Immediately I love the presentation of each fight, what with the descriptions and the pre-battle stats. Great job on them. Also Rust In Pickles, bootleg Darts. Turned into spaghetti, maximum regretti.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the 1.1 version will have been no better. It's the upcoming battle with RadioActive Whale in losers where the 1.1 version would've been better.

chill bro its all good
Sorry, wasn't trying to direct any anger towards anyone. Just quite frustrated with myself. Round 1 is up
Now I can gauge how well the other version would've done. As S_M said, the other version wouldn't have helped it's matchups, so I'm guessing Darts is gonna lose.
