Gemini is not with us anymore. This was a case that the bots were decent enough but nothing distinctive. Things like the bot named Alien Predator was his choice and nothing particularly wrong with it so I didn't force a change.

Is a case of if people vote to remove/replace the team as not competitive then so be it. I realize the other option is to rebuild many/most of the bots to be modern competitive.

Starcore
I would be happy with preserving all the teams and general bot designs for legacy's sake; there should be no problem making any outdated bots competitive for today's standards. If everyone is confident that the project will be seen through to completion for building, AI'ing, and properly skinning all 216 bots then it should remain the goal. Otherwise it might be worth putting priority on certain teams to start, in case things slow down and official release needs to be pushed.

not sure how i feel about this one, may rebuild
I think it looks good, probably because you deceptively rotated those tribars. The spinners need some more distance away from the wamming rack so the axes can get some action.

I was really surprised to find Alien Predator isn't on the Alien Invasion team; in fact Team SpaceStation is pretty much just Orbital Launch Team rehashed.

I personally really like the T-chassis and how it fits the name, so if that's a given then it might be better to stick with a static setup at least for the drive, which might also help the wedge and steering. I'm thinking it would also be more stable if the weapon motors are slightly in front of the drive so it consistently leans forward?

Looks good, though I would use a simpler mace setup and try for a black. And that external snapper arm might mess with driving upside down, if it can do that

Will we keep posting the rebuilds as they get finished? Should we make a separate thread in Stock Showcases?

I like that you kept the exposed motors. I did kinda dig the look of the Y-connectors on old Bitter Box though. And maybe keep Cyclone's black battery to avoid the generic? I mean the old chassis wasn't half bad

I put those three chassis on the Bot Exchange, use them as needed. Could work for weapon-spamming BW and LW as well.

Sounds like we want to avoid tampering with chassis then unless absolutely necessary. For larger bots it's a big part of their look and would be tough to reskin, and for small optimizations like XZAI 2 it's only a marginal boost in combat efficiency.

If you want AW chassis I can dig up the ones I posted here, you should be able to get that 11kg one down to also be a 16kg with DSA.

And some AW chassis.

Not sure what happened in this thread but anyway...

2 quick updates
Adware PLUS is now a Hammer/Popup/Clampy thing instead of a poor hammer with and odd wamming rack setup. It's obviously not the best fighter but I dig it since it's something different. Chassis has empty space since I pretty much reused the old one and there isn't anything else I could see the weight going to.
I am hoping that Ad-Aware can keep its design built to trap pop-ups (hence the name) as a counterpoint to the rest of the team. That's why I like the angled wamming rack to stop opponents from going further up while the hammer arm continuously fires away. It seems like Diablo wanted it to be representative of Rampant Puppy Love.

Seeing these drafts brings to mind another question - for bots like popups and flippers, the chassis is pretty much all the bot has in terms of "looks". If there happen to be ones with a lot of empty space, is it better to interfere with the old design by optimizing the chassis, and if so, do we feel like we have the resources to reskin all the bots for which this is done?

Can't decide whether Thrack or Shield had the more hype plot twist. Enigma should've been an easy win but that paragraphing is painful

You don't need that many razors, use some weight to make the wedges longer and the chassis shallower. You can also save some weight by combining the drive to occupy the same section of the chassis since weight is based on surface area.

If you actually want to try making a popup with armour stronger than DSA, try playing with the chassis of Backyard Ripper (DS Titanium) or Razor (DS Steel).

I can't believe this sh** is still going, I got up to the S3 premiere and that was nearly five years ago. Seems to be around the time that the novelty wore off and the show went downhill for the rest of the fandom too

That's great, that means you probably just converted the file from using Unix/OS X line endings to legacy Macintosh format. You should still be able to change the weight class as long as you stay in Unix editing mode in Notepad++ (shown in the bottom toolbar) or whichever program you use.
