Now, I know i've already suggested the Blade Arena, but what about something like this? I know the sides a a tad too high but it still has oota capabilities. On an unrelated note, this is my first succesful arena edit ever!

True, that's why I like the idea of the Blade Arena, the blade in the middle stops people rushing, and it has higher sides.

Slight Bump: What's happening with this? It seems to have died. I suggest everyone sends in a list of bots that they think should make the list, then any bot that gets >2 nominations gets put into a poll/series of polls. The highest ranked robots make the 100. Simple. I'm of the opinion that anything and everything should be eligible for the poll. Not just stock. It's a celebration of Ra2's 10th anniversary, and everything that it entails. DSL has been a big part of Ra2. (RPP/Mako/SheBeast and the like) and so has Custom (Hammer of Justice and um... the other one.)

Think of any off of the top of your head? All due respect that narrows it down about as much as me saying an open arena.
uh lets see here............. blade arena, elbite arena (during the 1st 30 seconds anyhow), and maybe the twiiiisted arena would all be very nice to avoid flipper spam
Blade Arena: Considering Elbite: Sides don't seem all that high, unless the pictures are deceiving. Like the Tesla Coil though. Twiiisted Arena: You mean the BTTB Arena? Maybe, seems alright. And S_M is right, the whole goal of this tourney is to KO your opponent and knock them out of the tourney. Not flip them out.

D:
keznorg arena would be cool i guess
Yeah, one option winning by a hair was pretty much the worst outcome possible.

Oh boy, it's really like it's BBEANS 2 again!
Yeah, the general rule of thumb is spin motors can be powered by one ant battery each, for burst motors then you have to power it fully, depending on what the description says. If you cut down on the batterys then you could afford bigger DSL bars for side protection, and possibly more weapons.
Some top/bottom protection might be an idea aswell. Halfsheets on the bottom perhaps?

Removed the poll, as it seemed to have died. Finished at 6/5 to an open arena. Now suggestions for an open arena would be helpful.
And I still want opinions on a seeding system, any ideas on how it could work would be much appreciated.

I must be the only person in the UK who does not give one <expletive> about football. Frankly, I'd rather it was replaced with three hours of Rickrolling.
Nope, you're not the only one! It's dreadfully mind numbing at times, I honestly cannot see why it is as big as it is. Also people saying "We won" when talking about the team they support or "You" when reffering to a team another person supports annoys the crap out of me for some reason.

Surely you could put a small 20cm or so extender facing down on the extender holding the halfsheet, then attach the spike to that? It would look like a piston aswell, which would make it more IRL.

That's the last time it's going to look that nice :P

50/50 split? That doesn't help me!
And what would you guys think about a "Seeding" system? I'm not exactly sure how it'd work, it may involve me going through all the DSL tourneys in the past year, calculating a w/l ratio or something and the top 10 or so people would then randomly get split between the two teams as to make it a bit fairer.
Also, I may limit entries to one bot each instead of the originally proposed two, as it would almost certainly end up that people would end up on both teams. And it's hard to support someone if you're on both sides. :P

Well, it certainly looks like i'm in the minority for this one. Also I made a logo. That clearly means I mean business.

Poll added. So I can gauge what type of arena is most popular. I'm personally for something open, like the Keznorg or BBEANS arenas.
And the arena most certainly won't be the Half Circle. If it didn't have the ramps then maybe. But massive opportunity for robots to get beached? No thanks.

Just have a round 1 with only 3 battles...
Thank you! I'm agreeing with S_M on this one, people didn't enter a wildcard, they entered a 32-bot IRL SHW tourney.

Please note: I'm not deciding beforehand. You have to enter with a robot before being considered to be a captain. :P

Oh yeah, this thing that I never submitted a team for even though I said I would. I WILL submit something, and that's a promise.
