AI'ing all the robots, recording matches, editing videos, uploading videos and linking videos is a lot of effort and most people don't realise that until they try which is probably the reason the limit exists. I also can't think of any sort of tournament that would require more then 16 entries.
I forgot about the splash and bracket work -.- that takes some time too depending on how nice you want it to look.

Anything that involves team-built bots.
1 team = 1 entry in a team tournament? 4 teams of 4 or you could have 8 teams of 2 etc. It's small but that's the point of entry level tournaments. That's entirely in the assumption that someone has never done anything like this before. I may not have made a tournament in Robot Arena 2 before, but I doubt it compares with overhauling a game (I'm working on the Fronteer Miners mod for LEGO Rock Raiders) or learning how to use the DirectX 11 SDK for C++ with just a reference website.
Also, I had the idea to make something similar to Robot Wars with MW DSL IRL robots. Of course, a heat-based tournament with 16 robots would only have four heats and a grand-final heat. That's not exactly championship-size.
We have no way of knowing if someone can keep up with the required amount of work, that's all. If you can host a small tournament with 16 entries successfully then you can move up to larger tournaments.

You should download Ultimate Stock AI, it has a large amount of teams (149 teams) with some easy bots, some average bots and some really well built ones. At your Level you should be trying to beat most the old BBEANS MW's. Link: https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Ultimate%20Stock%20AI.zip

If you supply:
1. Your robot. 2. Music info for the track you want played. 3. Any info on what else you want to be in the video.
I would be happy to try and put one together for you. Of course I'd prefer people do these themselves if possible as I want to see what others can come up with.

well mini karnage pretty much got a sh** ton of easy matches, not to mention it would have won even more had gravity well not been ridiculous hahahha
True it got a fair few easy matches but it also defeated the best BBEANS MW's, Flaming Whizzer, Wedge Tracker, Event Horizon 3, Rampant Puppy Love and VeXeD to name a few O.o so even without facing the easy bots it could have still got at least 15 wins in a row. I think I'll run a 4-8 bot sudden death elimination tournament at the end with the top 4 or 8 robots, it should consist of the best robots that are good against multiple types of bots and will make for some good viewing.

Let's talk about any strange fears you might have here. My strange fear is that I'm OK with looking down from tall buildings but I can't look up at them, I get so dizzy and feel uncomfortable :/

Results so far at the end of part 2: Fury - 8 wins Pandora's Box - 1 win Man-at-Arms - 2 wins Caution: Hazardous Content - 1 win Acrid - 1 win Vox - 5 wins 1337: Breakdown - 3 wins Aedes - 2 wins Mutiny II - 1 win Happy Returns - 1 win Octomini Xtreme - 1 win Box of Pure Evil - 2 wins XZAI 2 - 3 wins Loki - 5 wins Emergency Fly-By - 1 win Emergency Launch - 1 win Death Trap - 3 wins Robotic Bee - 6 wins Dirty Money - 1 win Mini Karnage - 28 wins!!! (some very easy wins but most victims in this mean streak were well built bots) Gravity Well - 4 wins Vowel - 1 win Big Flip's Revenege - 1 win Do Geese See God? - 3 wins The Fang Brother(s) - 1 win (end of part 2)
Gravity Well and The Fang Brother(s) are the big upsets in part 2. Gravity Well ended Mini Karnage's 28 match win streak with a lot of luck, it also provided a lol moment against consonant which it also defeated in a pretty impressive 4 match win streak.
The Fang Brother(s) ended part 2 with a lucky win against a suicidal Do Geese See God? which flipped itself out of the arena.

3 months seems like a long enough time for people to build a robot and enter IMO.

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhQ5BJWmvN8&feature=youtu.be#ws1 robot gets on a large winning streak and it gets halted by an unexpected bot. I'm thinking about holding a 4 bot battle royal at the end between the bots with the longest winning streaks. Next up will be INFAI MW's and possibly Re-stocked MW's.

Nice cropping.
Nice constructive post.
Build DSL, Enigma. You're much better at it.
dude what this bot can ko like all the wedge bots in inf ai
Well, your DSL bots look cooler, at least.
I think we all need to stop this stuff... the stock vs DSL war is stupid.

How about an arena of the month? or component of the month :P
Not everyone can mod. I can't make a decent 3D model if my life depended on it. Some people can't code.
can always re-skin :P

Here is a place to put all your Robo-trons, Robo-trons are introduction videos for your robots. It should include the following:1. Music. 2. Short video clips of it in action, demonstrating it's weapons etc. 3. Robots name. It can include: 1. A fancy splash image or splash images. 2. Pictures of the robot or battleshots of it. 3. Flavour text, motto etc. 4. Robots info/specs. They can be anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute long. here is a short and old example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZLw1EJIeBs&feature=plcp# These videos can be used in future tournaments giving them a more polished feel and look. I myself plan to introduce these in Robo Zone 2 so if you have an entry ready and waiting it would be a good idea to start on your robots intro video now :)

Results so far after part 1: Fury - 8 wins Pandora's Box - 1 win Man-at-Arms - 2 wins Caution: Hazardous Content - 1 win Acrid - 1 win Vox - 5 wins 1337: Breakdown - 3 wins Aedes - 2 wins Mutiny II - 1 win Happy Returns - 1 win Octomini Xtreme - 1 win Box of Pure Evil - 2 wins XZAI 2 - 3 wins Loki - 5 wins Emergency Fly-By - 1 win Emergency Launch - 1 win Death Trap - 3 wins Robotic Bee - 2 wins (End of part 1)
The robot below each robot is the one that ended their streak (going in order). Robotic Bee will look to continue it's 2 match winning streak in part 2 and currently Fury leads the way with 8 wins in a row. I will start recording part 2 matches now, it will include the remaining starcore MW's and most (if not all) BBEANS MW's.
