Agreed with the dodgy call on Devil. But I thought it was quite a good video, the sort of minigame things in the middle kept it quite interesting, rather than just fighting right the way through. Looking forward to the next heat.

Looking awesome. Would there be any way of adding a drum component underneath the bar, just to make it look a bit more sturdy?

That's enough to buy you 0.6 of a pencil sharpener. =P

Was taking a look through JD's showcase, then this happened. Not too sure about the plows, Rule of Seven prevents me adding anything else. Aside from that, I'm reasonably happy with it.

Is that why you have the alu extenders sticking out like that, so the Apollyon corner parts match up with the main wedge? Or does it do that normaly, I forget. Why are the sideways extenders there on the flipper?

That looks ridiculous, but in a very good way. Reminds me of Raizer Blade a little bit. There are a few small touches that I think would make it even better, though. For instance, putting gap decals on the bot where the wheels pass through the chassis at the top, and turning the rearmost Spike Strips 180 degrees, so they're going in the same direction as the ones on the front wedge. I assume the rear flipper segment stuff is for self-righting, but it looks a bit ungainly. What I might do is have it more sharply angled, so it joins up with the back of the chassis, and appear more sturdy. Should still self-right effectively.

Am I right in thinking that is the same company that made the car known as "Interceptor"?

You require Mr. Flibble. He might be on the bot exchange :P
Puncture III is in agreement of this. Hopefully we might get a rematch out of this.

I would go for skinned hexplates, personally, and perhaps on Skirt Hinges. If it gets inverted, the skirt hinges could fire, and the hexplates would drop, resulting in invertibility. Although they probably wouldn't come up again unless you got quite lucky.

Looks quite interesting, but there's a lot more extender work going on than there should be. If you try Axle Loading the Servos, you could easily save around 20kg, and if you lost the forklift pieces from the back, that would save you more than enough weight to get maces and/or irons on the spinners instead of razors, which are probably going to get taken off pretty sharpish.

An HW True Popup tends to almost always have 4 BGSs, each with 3 razors on them. It depends on what style of popup you're wanting to build, though. You could go down the Seism 13 route, where you invest more weight in defense than attack, or you can go down the R4 route, and stick as many weapons on it as you can at the cost of external protection. Each will perform well against certain bot types, and each will have their weaknesses. I always try to strike a good balance between the two, though, it creates a more well-rounded bot, with hopefully no obvious weaknesses to exploit.

Looks like wedges would get stuck trying to go up the sides. Truth?
Only very occasionally. I think that might be something to do with the angle of them, perhaps. I tried getting pairs between them, but they wouldn't attach, so I put them on the sides instead, to help against HS.

Haha, name 5 good American cars.
And you can't have pickup trucks, because they aren't legally recognised as cars.
Good by what criteria? Having an engine larger than 1.5L? In the US pickup trucks are recognized as cars, because you don't need a CDL to drive one...
But it doesn't need to pass the safety tests that a normal car would have to. Maybe that's just in Europe.

Why do you guys hate Sara Palin so much?
I don't like the fact that she's poupular because of how she looks. I don't think the way someone looks should really give any bearing on politics (that's for another discussion), but the main reason I don't like her is because her IQ seems to be on a par with that of a potato.

For Midnight Sky, you could attach the wedges the other way, so they don't overlap and screw each other up, plus give you wider coverage. Also remove the pointless Side Panel on the back, and the Battlepacks as well, to get some more ants in there. You need a minimum of 12 in this bot to fully power everything.
Midnight Star, on the other hand, looks very good indeed. I would be a bit concerned about the side panels coming off before the axles do, especially if it's an SnS. How does it do for stability when it's inverted?

Popup time. Not in the style I would normally build, though. 797.9, DSA. 4WD HPZs, 12 razors on 4 DDTs, 14 casters in total. Wedges are mounted on the baseplate, so they actually work.

I won't be getting onto my computer on Tuesday or Wednesday....
Why's that, do you keep doing things?
Well, in sunday I played computer in the garage, and got busted. And I said that I won't be using my computer on monday, but the punishment was longer than I thought...
You really shouldnt be that desperate to get on a computer that you have to sneak onto a computer in the garage... find something else to do with your time
I can't think for anything else to do.
Do some car related stuff.
OH WAIT (Image removed from quote.)
Or, you can just tell your parents to stop treating you like a kid, like I said earlier.

I think yours is better. Definitely more stable, plus a wider area of attack. Icepicks are there to keep it from tipping, correct?
