I believe my version of axle-loading (using a very unbalanced weight and attaching to the motor while spinning at full spped) might keep the attachment point on the axle. I could be wrong though.
EDIT: I'm actually positive it does.

Can't you lighten the Ti sheet's extender work ?
I wish I could. It was a living  geting the Ti sheet to be low enough to meet the wedge at the ground, but high enough as to maximize wedginess. I honestly don't see how moving the JXRs a tiny bit farther really helps, especially when doing so would require extra, more vulnerable extender work.
