I like your bot too, just not your match-up.

It's probably because "feeling" dosen't really work over the internet. I got what you were trying to do, but for the longest time I couldn't figure out if you were being sarcastic or just having a weird-on. I was like :|
I still liked the story. It inspired me to go back through all my books and internet bookmarks about cryptids and read up on those again. 1364

*I'm still on-topic!* I think the pausing does. Although I've noticed that pausing cuts down on the match loading time, with bots like my 36HS's, they sometimes havok at the start, but only after I've used the pause button. I have to say though, I've never had any troubles balancing my maces without the pause button. For me, they are always exactly where I want them.

:O Yay!
Hmm... I'm not really liking Sage's chances. I think Scrap, myself, and Naryar will go on though. Mike's got a good bot, but mine eats single wedges for breakfast >:O 1366

*On topic* What Pys says does happen to me every so often. Just look at the video Clickbeetle posted of his flail VS in his showcase, as the random havoking happens there too.

What, my re-make of Ninja? I will, but I'm away from the computer that has RA2 on it. I won't be home until Wednesday-Thursday, so I'll send it then.

So, I'm a bit confused now... you're complaning about the gameplay of the DSL mod and not the entire game? Have you ever even played the original game before? If you have, then you'd know exactly how Infogrames released the game, and that everything you have complained about has nothing to do with the people who made DSL, or even the DSL mod itself. The "retarded scoring," etc. that you mentioned was how the developer thought the gameplay would be best. The creators of the DSL mod had no control over how the game played, and did their best to compensate with balancing the components, and adding more. Short of creating a "RA3," there was nothing they could do to solve the problems you see with the game.
You can complain about the game all you want. You're entitled to do that because you paid for it. Just don't whine about something that was done by a group of voulenteers just because they felt like they would be preforming a service to the community, especially something that couldn't be fixed. 1369

I was just wondering if it would be possible to put a daily post limit on certain members (like, "you may only make 5 posts per day"), and make it impossible for them to post any more than their limit. I think that this would be a good tool to use on members who notoriously spam, hopefully encouraging more quality posts.

I think you'd be better off with less categories. "Top 5 Current DSL Builders" and, "Top 5 Current Stock Builders" I think is enough.

Existing Games / Best game type?« on: June 20, 2009, 07:57:09 PM »
I have to say that I perfer specific games to game types. For example, I love Halo and Left 4 Dead, but I can't stand playing Call of Duty (any of them).
My other favourites are RA2 (duh), NHL 09 (Xbox), and The Bigs (a baseball game for the Wii). I also like Guitar Hero, but I don't play it as much any more. I played Maplestory and Roller Coaster Tycoon too. EDIT: @ FC: RTS is real-time strategy. And Pokemon also rocks :P 1376

I've seen some real-life bots that have a spinner between two chassis sections. I'm not sure how they did it though.

I'm still here in one piece :|
I did a little research though and I found the story on a horror story sharing site, and virtually nothing else. I figure if this story had much backing, the folklore surrounding it would be much more intense. Personally, the pictures of the Florida Skunk Ape scare me more... EDIT: added a link for all those who want to see. 1379

I remember back in grade 6 or 7 for me, I read a story about a black cat in Ireland (the Black Cat of Killakee, I think it was) that was similar in nature to what you told. I tell you, I could not sleep for almost a whole year because it terrified me so much for some strange reason.
Quote from: tankcat;45222 I didn't say I hope you would die, I said I hope he claims you as his next victim this night. That could insinuate the radio screeching, and any other number of things... I see. It just read like you wanted it to kill me or something. I was just like D: <--that. If you really are being literally tormented by the thought of this thing, I hope you get through it. I really do. Oh, and I found the 4chan archive of the discussion of the Rake from the paranormal board. In it there is a phone number, like the one you mentioned. There is also both of the pictures you (moonbear) posted. I'm not going to call it, just because I am admittedly creeped out to the point where caution overtakes my curiosity. I don't friggin believe it. The lights in my house just started flickering and I'm getting damn paranoid now xD |
