Off-Topic Discussion / Re: General Chatter Thread« on: August 09, 2012, 09:18:31 AM »Well, you know, they probably noticed the FUN-O-METER was pointing too far in your favor, so they had to administer some de-funning to keep the fun balance equal. See? NOW EVERYONE CAN HAVE FUN IN A PERFECT SOCIETY WHERE NO ONE LOSES.GF constantly derails threads and discussions intentionally, it seems. That's pretty much all he does now.agreed 1351

That's pretty much all he does now.agreed I was being a smart ass point out how the original house robot, seen here, could easily beat any of the misshapen forklifts that competed in FIRST competitions. Your response was just a repetition of what Goldenfox had said in the first place. 1354
Off-Topic Discussion / Re: General Chatter Thread« on: August 08, 2012, 09:35:09 PM »Well, that sucks. If I could locate them, it'd be fun to send the original five House Robots in there to show them how it's done XDFIRST is the biggest joke in competitive robotics. Any competition that expects spectators to dance the chicken dance and to Cotton Eye Joe can't be taken seriously. You totally missed the point of what I was saying. 1356

Hell dude, the original house robot (Goliath) would be able to kick all of their asses. 1357

This isn't what fun is supposed to be about! EDIT: Are there any videos of this madness? 1358

The only one even remotely startling is the AKA cartoon one, and even that looses its effect when you realize its...well, AKA cartoon.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: General Chatter Thread« on: August 08, 2012, 03:24:53 PM »You're so lucky. I waited 7 years for an hour of patronizing simple robotics with no fighting, seven whole years and it was due to come any day soon. I asked my teacher and she said "Cancelled this year because we don't think many people will like it but we'll be doing it next year." I remember my experience with Lego FIRST robotics in middle school. >Guys if we set up a simple tank steering style drive train it will be able to make sharper turns because it will have no steering radius. >SHUT UP KID NO ONE THINKS YOU'RE SMART YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ROBOTS IF TANK STEERING WAS BETTER HOW COME CARS DON'T USE IT >They build a car steering system >it's totally off balance >it falls over on the first challenge run Way to go five star school. |
