Thoughtless predictions so I can laugh at myself later. Also for me to learn about which bot characteristics beat out other ones that are different from what I initially believed.

lawl my bot is sooooo bad
Silver Iron Pounder: Good eFFeing and stuff, but too much empty space and not invertible, plus Grannies. The paintjob doesn't give off a very professional vibe either. S.O.ll.S.: I hate it. It has a decent paintjob though. ![]() Pytosis: Oh God the one that won ROBONOVA GO AWAY D: Hopefully it'll get teamed up on in the wildcard rumble. Birdhouse in Your Soul: More HS stuff. Nice chassis shape, I guess. Red Sky at Morning: Dunno how it'll perform in a rumble with two HS. In my experience HP Z-teks can't really flip MWs so I wouldn't put much money on this one. Tornado: It's amazing. And hopefully not invertible. If it has 18 maces; S_M got trolled. :P Circuit Breaker: Interesting. Doesn't look too good against popups, but fortunately there are none in that wildcard, rather top-exposed motors so it has a good chance of surviving the first round. Spiral Gate: WOW I had a terrible perception of Jonzu's building level. Much better than what I'd expect. Undercutting spinners look dangerous...exposed motors not so much. Blazing Thunder: Drive motors way too exposed. Might do well with popups though. Gicquel: This is very interesting. Shallow chassis wedge, rubber wheels...decent and very unique. Faithless: Again, changed perception of builder. Like the name and design. Well-armoured too, pretty good. Snap!Happy 6.3: Nice and compact; looks very professional. I really like this one. Packie MW 2: Wait, didn't I just...? No wait, that was Pytosis. See what I said for Pytosis....oh wait, that doesn't work either. Nice skin, I guess? Strangely long chassis, though. RepulsoR: Y CONNECTORS?? The motors come a long distance off of the bot, so it might not get enough time to spin up at the beginning of a match versus faster bots. The wheels aren't protected much because of this either. It's OK. Saharan Warrior: RPJK has improved a lot. Nice to see some defense; it's alright. 18 HS: By far the best name in the tournament. Well-built and not-RAD drive is nice, though I don't have much liking for one wheelers....it always looks like their spinners slow down while they're rotating. My Level of Building: I guess it can kind of ram and aim for extenders on HS. Now why does the paintjob look familiar? L3ak: Hi Geice. Will do well as long as it doesn't face the two bots with non-Snapper II double wedges. Grubby Joe 3: It's not that bad. Strange weapon setup on the spinners though...I see a single Iron Spike on one of the tribar arms. o_O Paramecium-I: This was what I was going for with my bot, basically. Again, undercutting spinners look dangerous. One of my favourites. blaarg: Cool chassis. Don't see three-spinnered SNS much in the MW class. Nice and unique. Crazed Surgeon: Pyscolone popup....? DDT wedge is good, I guess...might get lucky with some OHKOs with HS. Overall: WOOOOO popups and HS. 1349

Discussion / Re: New Glitch - Hax Mode« on: July 03, 2011, 09:48:34 PM »Click, it's not the same thing as BFE because it's done in-game.True, but the final result is (almost) the same as BFE, and I think we should judge these kinds of things on what they do rather than how to do them. I'm really just seeing this as a branch off of BFE, a bit less potent and done in a different way. Anything having to do with it pretty much also has to do with BFE...if it's legalized in tourneys, so is BFE bar components outside the chassis and whatnot, because no one can tell the difference between the two methods. If BFE is banned right now, then so should Hax Mode if released, at least in regular tourneys. I'm just surprised that it's only now that everyone is planning these "Super-Stacked" tournaments when those competitions could be easily done using BFE instead (again, without components outside the chassis). I feel like if this is released it'll be like some newbie says they've discovered a new glitch and it turns out they've just re-released BFE to the public. 1353

Yeah, what you have now is Snapper -> Extender -> Extender -> HPZ -> Tribar -> Extender -> Extender -> Razor which if you count up is 8 connections. Now, the only thing you can get rid of is one of the extenders between the Snapper and the HPZ. Your choices include a red/black extender instead of two, a Y connector, or a T connector. (a red/black extender saves 3 kg of weight)

For future revisions you can try trimming the chassis with a
______ | | /_______\ shape rather than ______ _| |_ |_________| The smartzone seems a bit far forward, at this point it looks more like a hammer than a popup. Unless, of course, that's what you were going for. 1356

NFX I was in awe at the weights until #6. :P
#3 is exactly like my RL entry, just with a black. ![]() (I haven't entered it yet because it's one I'm going to AI by myself) #4 is....strange. Low power servo drive? Or if it's just for a compact chassis, why not Snapper IIs? 1360
