I must say : 450 kg weightclass isn't good for n00b warz. First we're in stock, so components are heavy, second chassises are necessarily big and DSA is banned so titanium/steel is another weight to add, and third, we have to waste weight to make bots particularly bad, so weight constraints are hard. I mean, to make something cringe-inducing you have to waste lots of weight on tons of batteries, random airtanks or sh**ty extender work.
I say since most n00b bots are underweight HW's, make it CW. Or if you want to make a lighter weightclass make it MW or even LW.
But this 450 kg weightclass is annoying me.
Don't think of it as 450 kg weightclass. Think of it as a generous MW. I think it's fine, honestly, since it's not even a serious tournament anyway. Plus, the oldest bot I still have happens to be a MW so that's oddly convenient.

Ops, thought I had done that already. Wasn't planning on starting the tournament for a little while anyway. Mostly I just wanted to type it up so I don't forget why there's a sticky note that says "Teamwork makes the Dream Work" on my desk. So what version would people be interested in? I haven't hosted an Ironforge tournament yet, but I'd be happy to host whatever people would enter. Except IRL, probably won't host an IRL tournament.

oh boy oh boy it's time for another terrible Thrackerzod gimmick idea (tm)  OK this one's a weird one. Basically, the idea is a 16-bot single elimination tournament with a dumb, luck-based twist. Let's say Bot 1 and Bot 2 have a match. If Bot 1 wins, Bot 2 then joins Bot 1's "team" for future matches. Then, if Bot 1's team beats Bot 3's team in the next round, all the bots on Bot 3's team join Bot 1's team. Here's how the rounds would play out: ROUND 1: Standard single elimination ROUND 2: 2 v 2 team matches. Assuming Bot 1 beat Bot 2 in Round 1, Bot 1's options are: A. 2 copies of Bot 1 B. Bot 1 and Bot 2 C. 2 copies of Bot 2 ROUND 3: 2 v 2 team matches. For this round, you can use any two bots on your team, but cannot double up a single robot (this is because I figure, by this point, surely you've got at least one other decent bot on your team.) FINAL: Best of 3, 2 v 2 team matches. Each participant selects 6 of the bots on their team to compete. You may not double up any robots. ok so there's that. Here are some of the problems I forsee: -terrible gimmick idea that no one will like -Will not work without 16 entries. Running 15 + byebot (or less bot + more byebot) would give someone's team a major disadvantage. -I can't think of a way I would enter this fairly, given that I'd know which bots everyone's using. That means one less entry. -Allowing for double entries might work, but it would kinda mess things up if you were going against yourself in one of the later matches, so you knew which bots you had picked. That said, I did make the logo for it, so at least that's something.

Alright! Unfortunately, I don't still have any of my old bots (as far as I'm aware). Would it be acceptable if I got my roommate (who's never played RA2 before) to make something?
While I still don't have any of my bots from then I first played this game ~10 years ago, I did find this:  This was the first robot I ever entered in a tournament. I hate to say this, but it might be too good; I built this after having read the building guide thing, so it uses different APs, and does have a wedge (which is for some reason wired as a flipper even though this is clearly a rambot?) And it uses shiny wheels and doesn't go nuts with batteries. On the other hand, it has 2 ballasts and what even is that extender setup and why is there a plow on the back and why are there ramplates and whats with the pole spike? What do y'all think, use this or go with the roommate idea?

Yeah that happens if you tab out of the game. You can fix it by just going to the test garage.
That works? I always just close out the general and reopen it when this starts happening.

Yeah, I've tried making a couple shell spinners in Ironforge and they definitely need the extra ballast weight to not go nuts. Just remember to keep up with how much of your bot's weight is ballast and how much isn't.

Howdy, welcome to GTM!
So this problem is sorta weird. Ironforge has different weightclasses than other mods. However, the game itself doesn't actually know this, so you have to keep up with it yourself. An Ironforge mediumweight is 200 kg (not counting weight from ballasts), and an Ironforge heavyweight is 400 kg (not counting weight from ballasts), so what you've got there is a HW. Whatever the game thinks it is doesn't matter. Sometimes, I like to name my bots "MW - [whatever]" or "HW - [whatever]" or whatever other weightclass to keep track.
(Does that make sense? I hope that makes sense.)

I'm keeping the square extenders in the front because sometimes when the 2 wheels in the front are broken but the ones in the middle and the back are intact it starts to fly and on rare occasion, havok.
why keep them
the round ones have the exact same hp and weigh less
So it will be more front heavy I added ballasts on the front as well so the damn thing won't up end itself when it's 2 front wheels are missing
You really want to make the front end heavier by adding more weapon, not by adding other stuff.

It looks pretty at least.
You should be able to swap out the sawblade with a disc, put some razors or irons on there, and have that be a decent base for a face spinner.
Can we see insides?
Yea, it's not the most practical, but it was fun to make. The only thing inside the bot are the batteries, motors, and controller. No hidden secrets and nothing to look twice at.
Usually you want to show off the insides just so we know what motors, batteries, etc. you used. Also, if you have to make two posts in a row, you can edit the first one rather than making two posts in a row,
