The IP is only different if he uses a separate connection for his lappy. I have used 7 or so different IPs on this wobsite (my old apartment, my parents' house, my friend's apartment, his parents' house, Starbucks, my iPhone, my university). In this day and age of WiFi and easily accesible proxies, it's not a hard feat to accomplish.
