Yeah, it's still laterally unstable, but I'd take this over the old, spazzier one any time. And since this one has one less HPZ to eat the battery, it should last longer, although the lack of a caster seems to be its downfall.

Nah I don't plan on entering any tournament unless I have a really cool idea in mind.

And it's pretty much like how Sage built it:

In fact Sage rebuilt Tornado in order to have a static drive in the first place.

Why hasn't anyone thought of this

It's literally a LW Tornado. Which should probably be the new Civil Disobedience.

lol Sage u so silly

Also, it took me about 3 hours to get the stack right, then it occurred to me that I could've just used Tornado and worked from there, which was AFTER I FINISHED THE DAMN THING ASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKL

Nah, I just placed it there because the part of the flipper where it bends down has a visible 'seam' on it. Just placed a tooth there so no one would notice my fail panel placement. :P

Also, any almost-invertible flipper with a Judge burst should be able to self-right any time. :P

So I fixed Sky Shark, and in turn made it slightly less original:

Wondering why there's a Typhoon tooth sticking out?

My original plan was to make it a flipper+damaging clamp (hence sky+shark). But I ran out of weight on the first prototype so I turned the wedge into a scoop instead.

I have yet to check whether the VDMA holding the Judge burst is actually beneficial or just a waste of weight. Of course, I'll never know when the wedge is crap and bots don't go up the flipper. >.<

Welcome to Pwn's fail IRL showcase 2012

My very first attempt at using a Judge burst. And it's glitchy. But yeah, I guess that's to be expected when you chain stuff like that.

And that's also my first attempt at making a scoop/dustpan without custom parts. Sadly, they can't pick up anything, so I'll most likely ditch the angled sheets for something else.

Hmm... the irons don't cut through the hinges in the bot lab. Must be the wedge flex.

Oh, and the MEs are there because I had 7 kg left. Making the wedges longer would kinda ruin the look, so I just placed them there are sacrificial extenders.

Irons can slightly rotate the bot back to its target when hit. And since they're on piglets, the drive can easily overcome the torque caused by the weapon motors.

IRL SHALL BE SLAIN BY M- oh wait I'm not French.

Pretty much an annoying noisemaker full of spikes and stuff. Irons nip the wedges away while the teeth, you know, do whatever teeth do. PA flipper's for frontal protection. And yeah, everything's DSL realistic (will showcase an IRL-ish bot soon, though). 3mm plastic, 11 ants, NPCFs and stuff. Wedges are almost as good as HnM4's.

All I know as I can make a simple program that continuously forks itself and slows the whole system down.
An infinite loop?

Yep. Until the system can't take it anymore and freezes. We were required to find out how many times it forked before it froze. IIRC it was in quintuple digits.

It's not that his problem lies in the lack of weaponry, it's that his drive ate up too much weight for him to spend more weight on weapons. :P

IMO the first version looks better. Makes the extender mesh look less out of place.

Three thumbs up (third thumb not mine).

It would probably be much harder to find a suitable attachment for a Mag while having leftover weight. The drive is fine as is, although you can change the wheel if it's too overkill.
