The first CD based console was Commodore's Amiga CD32. Released in 1993. Sega CD was released in 1994.
Aw man. I thought it was the 3DO system... but apparently the Amiga beat it by a month.

Nice! Haven't been able to catch you on iRacing. :P I guess our racing "free-time" is pretty opposite. I am still bumping around in Legends. Trying to get decent lap times in SoBo Speedway. I can't believe how realistic and hard it is. It could be that I just suck at it... but I refuse to give in too soon!

Your creativity is cool, clearly you enjoy putting a ton of thought into the builds. There are more efficient ways to set the bots up, but you will learn with time. Welcome to the forums man!

Thanks Robo! Any ideas or improvements you have for the bot are appreciated if you want to give it a look.
The wedge is insanely awesome due to the added downforce of the tail pushing against the ground. My biggest beef with the bot is that I don't like how weak/unprotected the weapons motor is. Might have to figure something out with that.
I just got a free moment before going back to work. Uploaded the bot.

It should still be there, if you haven't built over the slot where it was you can retrieve it.
Haha, too late. :P I already built over the slot. But, I still should rebuild it because the chassis height was a bit too tall. This is probably the divine kick in the ass that I need. Thank you though.

Nice job there Jack. I didn't expect you to go all out with the armor, and it cost me. Great job. Cool anti-FSS setup BTW.
Also could you put your bot up for download? It looms fun to play with :P (I already put mine up, check the bot exchange for Bot3.bot)
Oh wow that match was so close. It could have gone either way. I will dig my bot out and put it in the exchange in about an hour. I'll update this post with the file name and whatnot. Excellent match, I appreciate facing off against my arch rival. :D Edit: Correction... will put it up tomorrow-ish. Something came up.

Thanks Thyrus for your suggestions! I looked at those bots and couldn't get inspired by them. However, a couple of links through that wikia led me to the bot I think I will build.
Victor 2. Should be fun. Will have to cram before the 15th though.

Anything really. I don't care too much if it is competitive or not. Preferably not a boring flipper or a wedge.

can someone suggest a bot "other than chip" for me to make a replica of? I'd like to rep one that has a decent detailed picture on the internet. Chip doesn't have squat other than that one grainy TV still. Thanks!
