my turn to shine

(Image removed from quote.)

my Terrorhurtz (series 6) replica for UK vs USA, not sure if I should keep the upper armour pieces though

(yes that is the testing arena not inside the botlab)
Damn, that's an amazing replica! I love the use of Chaos 2's stuff.
Judging by all the reps I've seen on the UK's side, I'll bet that the UK has a great chance of winning! ^_^

Congrats joe, the better bot won.

I'm just happy to have got past round 1.

Wishing the other competitors luck.
I'm wanting Cassius 2/the revolotionist/last rights or warhead to win
Thanks, Ashman! I don't know why people like my Cassius II so much, to be honest., but I am happy with how it performs though! Thanks for the kind comments!

I'll also take an opportunity to say Good Luck to Warhead, the robot I'd like to win if I don't make it to the finals myself.

Hm, so Revolutionist won, did it? I'll have to think of a Strategy...

BATTLE PLAN UPDATE (White Text Below)
OK, so it looks like I'll be fighting Revolutionist in the Semi Finals. It'll all depend on the stability of my opponent. If it's still unstable, I'll be able to get under it and throw it upside-down easily enough. If not however, it might still be able to flip it, but it might be a little bit more difficult. Cassius II's armour is the strongest I could afford though, so I reckon it could hold out long enough to get under the Revolutionist. All in all, it could go either way.

Then I'll update it once I see the result of Last Rites vs. Warhead. Lazy me!

Sending bot, Go USA!

Not expecting it to win or anything, but I like how it looks.
Sounds interesting. Which robot did you build, then?

I entered a replica of the UK Battlebots competitor "Spitfire" for the tournament. It's a repainted version of Dantomkia.
The rep itself is fast, has a good ground clearance, has strong armour, and a powerful weapon. Like my previous flippers, I added some way to do damage onto the arm, so it can win on points if necessary.

I tested it on all the Robot Wars Replicas, and it was able to beat all of them, but that was me controlling it, not the CPU. However, I think it's a good-looking Rep with battle capabilities matching or surpassing it, so I hope to do well.

Entry Sent. UK Forever!

Discussion / Re: For the "original stock" teams: BW/AW/SHW bots?
« on: January 01, 2010, 04:29:36 PM »
this is a good idea thats should be done, like maybe for steelyard dog an AW cross between there light and heavy? (I gotta do this in my AI mod pack)
Nice Half-year Bump, Buddy.

Anyway, I suppose having Antweights and Beetleweights in those teams might not be a bad idea. However, only a couple could have SHWs, preferably from teams that can create a good "Theme" from it.
EG. A Yeti-themed one for the North Polers, or perhaps even a Car-Crusher themed one for the Scrappers?  =  P

It's OK, we all used to do it.

I mean, in my first posts, I used to do that. It's like signing a letter.

If you're having trouble with doing that TeamZog, just pass it my way. I've got just the ticket.

I might need to give it to you G.K...

TeamZog
Actually, strike that. Upon further testing, I've realised my entry's quite flukey, so I'm going to change it. I'll send you my new entry now...

It's a new Decade, so hopefully, we'll see many advancements into RA2, the community growing, and more legendary robots take shape!

Entry sent, go USA!

Also, have you decided on the format of the tournament?  Because I think you should make the first round be US vs UK so that everyone gets a chance to fight the opposing country; one of the major complaints I had about the Extreme Warriors 2 War of Independence was that there was only one battle that was actually between a UK and a US robot.
I will be in too... just gotta make something for this that is not going to fail like crabmeat :P
I don't think it completely failed, Jack. I mean, there's no doubt that that was one of the best-looking replicas there.

Great, two Barbarians who kill stuff for fun. I like Cats...but they taste like chicken.

Seriously though, I like to stay up and have a good time, usually. There's always a game of Risk, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly or Cranium involved, too.

I don't see it....?
It's the part where I and Natef's Super Sentai robots use the Bydo Cure to cure everyone of Badnik's spread of Bydo disease, turn them back into normal, get thanked by ACAMS, Fly off into the Sunset, and then is concluded by the inspirational words on Page 9.

And now you know the plot, me old chum! ^_^

I'd say Story Time's epic conclusion. I became a Legendary Hero for that! ^_^
