Though my say here might be a little predictable, I'd say Cassius II in its fight against Pussycat. Although I might be cheating here, because it was more down to good driving by Pussycat than pure luck.
I was looking forward to seeing Cassius II in the Semis! ='(

What Thyrus said That's how the first round lines up to be...
Sounds good! I'll be happy as long as I can beat one US robot team! ^_^

watch tornado vs storm 2 the BBC cut out a part when tornado reversed into the pit and the pit rose back up to let him out
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU- Bloody Mentorn...they didn't used to be so biased towards certain robots! But seriously, the pit rule (Once you're in, you're out) should've applied to every robot. No exceptions, especially to a red box driven by unsporting arses.
its not actually mentorn it is the bbc they tried so hard to stop storm II becoming champ oh and the bbc told the judges to let typhoon win instead of storm II because it was apparently "boring"
Uhhhh....It was actually Five who ran Series 7 that year. The BBC sold the rights to them. There's a lesson in there for all of us.

Even a certain front-hinged flipper with pit-escaping spike?
Well yes, if it makes competition fair. I mean, Cassius II was pitted in that fight primarily due to Pussycat's good driving, and falling into the pit at the wrong angle (So it couldn't use the spike to escape). Unlike the case mentioned earlier, that was completely fair. It's not like Mentorn would have claimed Cassius II's pitting was unfair (Due to its previous achievements) and restarted the match, back then.

Without a doubt, my least favourite robot is Tough as Nails (Or "Cheap as Chips" as I like to call it). I mean, that thing won only by the cheapest methods possible-immediately grabbing opponents and pitting them-no action, and always boring and predictable. Plus how they pitted Disc-O-Inferno (Who I looked forward to seeing that year, and was dominating the fight!), and did Panic Attack and RoboChicken out of their respective victories. And then there's the World Championship. We could've had GRAVITY in there, but nooo.... I was so happy when Bulldog Breed and Storm II gave that cheap excuse for a robot a taste of its own medicine.
And if I had to pick a second choice, it'd probably be 13 Black, for what it did to Chaos 2 in RW Extreme Series 2.

I do have a slightly n00bish technical question-
Where are in-game screenshots saved in the RCT2 Files? When I try to take them using the "Print Screen" key, the colours come out reversed? So if I take one using the "Screenshot" button in the game, where is it saved? I've looked everywhere for the files.

Anyone got a RA1 CD image / installer / anything? I'd love to have it. Either that or I'll try to crack / unpack Trymedia's version if my reversing talents are good enough.
Oi, also, RFS, you probably remember me. I was megabyte on AU and your forums. Please forgive me.
If you get it please post it here. I've been trying to get my hands on it for a while since my disc for RA1 won't read anymore because it's so scratched.
I'd love to play that old game again. I haven't been able to since I lost my old copy...

EDIT: for GFs, Idea, could this be Imported directly into the game as an arena skin: (Image removed from quote.)
Not bad, but maybe we could look towards actual game textures for that.

The Bydo is the living embodiment of evil.
Obviously Badnik then.
But Bydo breath? does Bydo have halitosis or something?
Well, if Bydoes are the embodiment of evil (They're also the main antagonists of the R-Type games), they most likely have Halitosis...

Ah, all right then. I just had another Idea. You see, I was playing "Sonic the Hedgehog" on my old Mega Drive not so long ago, and suddenly, a thought came to me- "A Green Hill Zone Arena!"So after that, I thought for a little while as to what it could include- - Spike panels which fire Spikes upwards (Like in the original)
- The original GHZ music playing as you fight (IE. Like in the Battlebots IQ Arena)
- Bobbins (Bumpers) mounted in two corners, which cause slight damage and knockback when driven into. (Not shown in picture-LAZY ME.)
- Red Springs mounted into the remaining two corners, which do not cause damage, but can launch a heavyweight into the centre of the arena, or a lightweight between the two of them under the right circumstances (Also not shown. LAZIER ME.)
And that's about it! This is only the first version of it though, so I guess improvements to the design can be made. Oh, and just for Naryar, there aren't any pits within the arena! XD

Actually, there is a Dreadnought replica on page 58 (At time of writing) by Jack Daniels. Check it out, it's very good.
