Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Least favorite robot!« on: January 22, 2010, 06:13:32 PM »another bot I'm not to fond of is mortis, obviouse reasonsAh, the team? I thought that the robot was quite brilliant, but the team (Especially Rob) were a bunch of overconfident prats. Also, apart from 13 Black and Cheap as Chips, I don't really like Typhoon 2 that much either. Storm II was done out of that Championship!

Anyway, seeing as it's Friday (And I've been at the coffee), I think I'll post some more track designs. Our first one- ![]() Grizzly Bear, a Wooden Coaster with Articulated seats. It has a nice station complex (Shown Below in More Detail), a fast and somewhat twisted layout, and Mine Theming. Here's another view- ![]() And here's the other one for today- ![]() Ickle Miner, a Junior Coaster with a Log Train. This one was designed to run next to Grizzly Bear, as if to help guests build up the courage to try and tame the bear. It also works well as a standalone coaster, and thanks to its high excitement rating for its size, makes a marvellous main coaster for a smaller, more family-orientated area. For this reason (And its cool theming), it's my personal favourite Junior Coaster. 12484

Maybe I'll refine Coal Miner or something. 12485

On the paint menu, you'll see a drop-down box entitled "Main Colour Scheme", with the track colours underneath. Click the box, and you should get a drop-down menu with other colour-scheme options. Once you've got that, choose the extra colours you want, and using the paintbrush tool (Accessed by hovering over the track with the cursor, whilst the secondary colour scheme is activated), and click on the track pieces where you want your secondary colours to go. With it, you can have up to four different colours on your track at once! 12486

Discussion / Re: Arena Ideas - Post 'Em Here!« on: January 21, 2010, 10:47:57 AM »Thanks, Doomkiller. It's always nice to recieve encouragement from the more experienced members of the forum! As for the arena, not bad, kinda reminds me of the combat arena, but without a roof.Yep, I know that game. I always liked playing as Underdog Lister. Those are some good arenas there, Jonzu. I particularly like the "Black Hole" stage. And to be honest, I actually more based it off the Battlebox, with the massive Polycarbontate Box (With the roof removed so you can see into it) surrounding the arena, the Rectangular hazard boxes, and the black colour scheme. 12488

Also, taking a leaf out of Jonzu's book, I thought I'd make a RCT2 arena of my own-
![]() And here's a closer shot- ![]() Robots start from the corners, and the grey squares represent hazards, like modified killsaws or ramrods (EDIT: Maybe I should've made them smaller, though). The pit in the centre is covered at the start of the fight, but through a pit-opening mechanism I may incorporate, it'll open. It also opens on its own at 2:00 into the fight. The arena walls are high enough to keep robots in, but still low enough for a good flipper to OOTA a robot from. So whaddya think? = P 12489

I've tested a Prototype, but soon, I'm going to make the real thing.I wish I went WAY overkill with my entry. I could have used DDT's for everything, and rebuilt the chassis so that they fitted. 12492

I saw vids of last years entrants and those were some awesome machines. Thanks, man. I honestly don't consider myself as talented in that field, but I might give it a go, now that you've suggested it!
