Hmmm...maybe I should try this too for motivation...

It's pretty easy, gives someone a better version to look at and best of all you get to show a rookie how it's done.

Haha, who said I had to say? The Rupt glitch was kept under raps until it was found by someone a little less secretive.

But yeah, don't expect this level of protection on any of my legit bots.

Sure. Good luck finding the exact color codes i used... you can always tell the real one from a duplicated one that way.

S.T.C. : you may start sending bots on Sunday, August 23rd.

Ofcourse, getting it spot on would be a total lucky shot, but someone could always do it so they don't feel.. left out.

updated prizes again.

They look easy to duplicate (with a bit of trial and error) but that doesn't come with the prestige of getting into the position to actually earn it.

actually i need help with protecting the motors (i dont know any good methods)

.. Placing it behind the snowplows, or ontop of the bot? It's not perfect but how it is right now just screams for a undercutter, gut ripper or popup.

And maybe the bots arent just not impressive enough

Unless that's just aimed at him, I'm not sure it applies to me. :| I created a virtually un-KOable stock LW (It can survive the default 3 minutes with SC4 Maelstrom, taking about 70k damage) and I think only one or two members (mostly likely just the one) had any comments on it.

I don't get many comments too. Be patient though.

The Perm looks very exposed. You sure it'll be alright?

I would take off the razor tip (for invertibility purposes), and use the weigh for something else.

The razor tip actually helps.. the bot is pretty crappy at undercutting probably because of the short range, and the razor, while giving the bot a hard time staying upside down to be exceptionally effective, really stings in it's current drill-like setup.

But no matter. I'll see if the weapon can be tweaked. The important thing is, it's better then S.P.A.R.K.

Maybe you're right there Reier. Hmm..

EDIT: So far I've changed the 2 battlepacks into 4 Ant batts, and replaced the Razor tip with another light DS tooth. Inverted the bot is ofcourse at a much lower angle, allowing the main weapon to keep functioning. It also has 5mm Plastic and weighs 171.1kg. Upgrading the main weapon's teeth is near impossible unless the realism or invertibility is lost, because things like Razor tips would shred the wheels.

One summer's night, a growing boy known by the name of "Red" was very bored and had nothing to do...

Yes, I took a design LRA2 created and improved it. Sue me.

@ Red - That scary gyratory bot with Hammer 4's all around.

Never saw that before. It's not in the official DSL SHW weightclass though, probably what LRA2 wanted.

Best Rookie: Insult to Injury V. If there was a entertainment award, I'd choose it for that instead. But this bot could be the character of a Hollywood Underdog story. It actually looks like a rookie bot, too.
Coolest Bot (Original): Heaven's Sawmill. That snowplow setup is all I need to mention.
Coolest Bot (Artistic): R4. Honorable mention to Seism 13 here.
Most fearsome: Absolute Chaos. A generic answer I know (but apparently still unique at this point) but the renowned HS was something I really didn't want to meet.. but did. Twice.
BTRSHDBBDDTBL: Bounty Hunter. If I don't get an award and Bounty Hunter scores here, atleast I can know that I was a reason behind this. But still. Bad run.

An extremely small preview of my RAW bot.

Hmmm... the two bots you showcased before couldn't pull that off.

It's not a popup, that's clear.

6 seconds!? As much as that was coming, I don't exactly like that one bit... expected to get atleast one hit.

Anyway..

Good matches. Seism and R4... that had some twists. ACTUAL twists. Wow.

I hate not being good at DSL as well...

But I think there is some battery trick where you dont use the big ones?

I think it was that the Ant batteries have a high total amount of electricity. Something like that.

Looked into the files... it's not as high as I thought it was (looking at 2.1 if it's different between them) but it's still many times better then the strongest single battery in the game.

6 Ant Batts: 39kg, 100800 total power, 600 output
PC625: 30kg, 38500 total power, 600 output.

So 261% endurance for 9kg more.

EDIT: Did some extra maths. 6 ant batterys are roughly twice as efficient weight-to-power wise as a 78.3kg battery setup (Got by multiplying the PC625 weight by 261%) . The .3 is impossible to get, but the point is made.

Use HPZ drive. Maybe it'll get a KO this time. Well, it SHOULD. :P

I'm using Click's rocket wheels. Which are said to power HWs on RADs.

This bot weighs about about... 230, 260kg.

To put it briefly - It's FAST. NPC Fast motors with Techno Destructo wheels kind of fast.
