Idea: for the splash, you should ask everyone to put a pic of their robot alongside its inspiration, to really highlight the "evolution" and help the IRL-ness judging. It'll be especially helpful if you're doing an obscure-ish bot like I am.

I'm not saying im being a whiny bugger about it im just saying that some people take a mile. I would prefer it whenever i logged in i didnt see a single person hating on a fandom that isnt even related to the forum. Other times i see someone being hated on for there view. but generally yes its a nice place. but at the best of times i see someone hating on someone for a silly on the side out the way thing you know?
You saw one individual acting out, so what? Don't blow it out of proportion. On this forum you give what you get in terms of respectfulness, and Kid Krusher is no exception to that. If you want admins who are that devoted to stamping out meanness, there are plenty of Christian faith forums to look into.

Tanks guys. The arm is a set of exenders and the new skirt from DSL 3. Here's Mousetrap, it should work like the real one; it hovers in the "open" position thanks to some invisible ballasts

It could be a replica but that would be very boring. I'm not outlawing it but replica's are not the point of the tournament.
To be honest you could just take a replica and change it a bit, youknow? Make it a little more 'up-to-date' in your own opinion.
I'm hoping that the emphasis on improving existing robots will encourage my vision of what IRL should be.
That's cool, as soon as I typed that, I thought, "nah, I'll be more adventurous than that." I do have a pretty artsy idea that I think will within the constraints.

Grim Reaper. It doesn't look a lot like the original, a fact that I realized when I was in the finishing stages, but y'know, I wasn't in the mood to start from scratch. So I'm not going to include pics of the original, and if you care about me you won't post any here. The youtube videos of it are blurry as all  , so maybe it'll look like it has a passing resemblence
