I'm interested, too. If this goes ahead, I might put something together.

But by Tagteam, do you mean with teams of two users, or one user with two robots?

It`s funny that someone thinks I could reach round 2 :D

You're against a byebot.

that doesn`t mean that I`m automaticly through. Remember scorpion vs plunderbird 5 :P
Actually, that was S3 that Plunderbird 5 got torn up by.

I can never remember what bots people have made anyway. I can only remember G.K.'s.

Anyway, what do people think of my skinning work?

EDIT - G.K., sorry I never got round to doing that, I was so busy trying to find an AVI to MOV converter that I didn't have time. Sorry.
It's no problem.

At least I might be able to get a win before Joeblo kills me  ;)

You can edit mine as well  :embarr

Nah, I'm only kidding. As long as I get past round 1, then I'll be happy.
I'm on it. In reality, it might be a little bit difficult with you fighting THz (Who I admittedly, was actually fearing to fight!) and all, though.

Oi, GF93, where am I in this? Surely I get past the first round...
Sorry, man. S_M originally wrote it, and I edited it because I apparently lost in Round 1 to some alien fish thing.

So winner of me vs G.K. goes against winner of Scrap Daddy vs H@zm?
Yes.

I don't understand the brackets.
I'll translate them for you.

HEATS
The four robots of the UK side fight in a four-way melee, with the winner(s) progressing to the Heat semi final. The US side then does the same. There are then two matches, where a UK robot fights a US robot, with the winners progressing to a Heat Final, where they fight. The heat winner goes to the Grand Final.

FINAL.
The winners from each heat then fight each other in one final match, with the winner coming out as the War of Independence Champion!

EDIT: I was originally going to post this before Zog, but he beat me to it  :p

Is actually one on one now. My computer doesn't allow four-way melees.
Whoops.

Guess I've got to read the small print more in future!  XP

Here are my predictions-

The Alien - As Sonny said, I've seen this one in action, too. Again, strong weapons, but somewhat fragile.
Hypnodisc - Looks quite brilliant from the picture, and possibly somewhat more durable than the standard DSL rep.
V-Max - Sorry, Stagfish. It looks good as a replica, but in combat, with those stock extenders, it will probably fail.
Steel Reign - Looks fantastic and quite deadly, but it'll all depend on the durability of those brittle-looking teeth on the bars. If they break, it could become unstable.
Snookums - It's a great replica, but admittedly, apart from that, what else can it do?
Phere - Looks very well protected under that dome, but I think its effectiveness depends on its speed. And if it gets flipped, It'll be curtains.
Nightstalker -Looks impressive with the spinning ring, but could become vunerable if flipped, though.
Spitfire - Not my best DSL rep, I will admit. It's fast, has surprisingly strong armour for what it is, and basic OOTAing capability, and even then, is still capable of flipping. Could be one to consider in the 1st Fight.
Dark Striker - Looks OK, but might be vunerable to flippers.
Aces and Eights -If it can overcome the reliability issues, it should be quite a mean pusher. If not, it will probably lose.
THz - This one's my favourite replica here. Its axe looks effective, and that armour looks strong, too. But can it self right? If so, it's certain to win. If not, if I can flip it, I think I could beat it with a little luck.
Infernal Contraption - That's a lotta FBS sections! It should be well protected, then. That disc looks effective as well, but it is vunerable to OOTAing.
Matador - If it can OOTA, it's a threat. If not though, I can't see it going too far.
GBH 2/Mulsanne Monster - Looks nice, but has an exposed Angle Connector (A no-no in DSL to me), so its flipper could be broken with a random lucky shot.

Those tracks used on the DSL Ronin replica looked a little bit (By which I mean very) laggy to me.

That because they're made of assloads of wheels on invisible servos.
I knew there was a crapload of wheels there, but I didn't know what motors were used until now.

But anyway, The first option (El Diablo Tracks with wheels inside) definitely seems the better option.

Hell, the only idea i have to make a good replica would be using the cheat Diablo tracks, reskinning them, and putting a wheel inside the track (like the Diablo replica has) at the rear end of the robot, so the whole chassis can rotate vertically with the center of rotation being at the back of the robot......
That's a good idea.

EDIT: And who knows? Maybe we'll get to fight a match.

I thought replicating the sawblade Ronin would be a good idea, but it's going to be hard to make something really accurat unless i BFE.
I say go for it. Just make sure it doesn't catch fire, though  = P
