Well, that's still a cool arena.
Sad thing is, it flashes in bright colours very quickly as you play. Damn near gave me a seizure the first time I played it   :FFFUUU

your just in RW land, they basically make up whatever class they want :P

Storm 2 was called a full body hammer at one stage XD
Admittedly, I do tend to relate a bit more to the terms in Robot Wars, having watched it since I was five  = P

yeah your both wrong :P

Sparkey is more correct though

as he noted Sheck Spinners are not Full Body Spinners, FBS are robots spinning the full mass (not just the outside armour) while having transitional movment (umm.. being able to follow and opponant while spinning)

Y-Pout and Why-Not are examples of FBS robots
F*ck. So a n00b is actually more knowledgable than me?

halon rhino was the origanal version, I geuss I was being ignorent. But one of it's attacks was to spin in place to make a cloud of halon. And FBS is a bot that spins in place. The SHW did have spike though.
No, you're thinking of a Sit-and-Spin, or a "Thwackbot". A FBS is what in the RA2 community we call a Sheck Spinner.

Example of SNS robots-
  • Stinger
  • BladeRunner
  • Gold Digger

Examples of FBS robots-
  • Typhoon 2
  • Super Megabyte
  • Blendo

On second thought , thruster would be cool too...
I think they're easy enough to make in the current DSL. All you need is a burst piston, some extenders, and something that hurts.

Speech!
I did already make one, but I did miss a detail out. LoopScrew is available for download below-

https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Loopscrew.zip
All you need is a copy of RCT2- no add-ons needed, instructions to install are included. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed building it!   :approve:

Aw man, I was going to say "speech, speech, speech", but you already gave one.

Anyway, congrats Goldenfox!
Thank you, Nate!  :approve:

And thinking about it now, Maybe I could create a seperate thread for the next COTM? I'll do so once I get my first entry.

Not bad idea at all! That sounds great!
Thanks Jonzu!

Anyway-

CRITERIA FOR THE NEXT COTM
To celebrate the damn awesomeness of the Swiss coaster builders Bolliger and Mabillard  (B&M), I've set the criteria so that any of the choices below can be built (All are Coaster Types manufactured by B&M, with examples of each kind shown)

Twister Roller Coaster  (Kumba, Busch Gardens Africa)
Stand-up Twister Coaster  (Riddler's Revenge, Six Flags Magic Mountain)
Floorless Twister Coaster  (Kraken, SeaWorld Orlando)
Inverted Roller Coaster  (Nemesis, Alton Towers, UK)
Mega Coaster  (Titan, Six Flags over Texas)
Vertical Drop Coaster (Oblivion, Alton Towers, UK)
Flying Coaster (Tatsu, Six Flags Magic Mountain)

Open to ALL GTM members. Good luck, and happy building!

I don't believe I actually agree with someone here. I absolutely effing HATE Spaz and its builder. If it wasn't for dumb luck in the semi-final of 2.0 vs. Bad Attitude, it never would've won the Middleweight Championship.

For those that were at RFSHQ a year or two back, you've seen my tirade against the builder Mike Regan. I don't want to relive it.

Also, not exactly under "bots I don't like" but rather "bots that could have been so much more": Drillzilla from Extreme 1. Even though the robot was 352 lbs (132 lbs heavier than the British competitors), all it had for weapons were two dinky little extensions from the sides of the robot and a drill that didn't work well in the back. In all honesty, if it had a much better weapon set-up, it would have won more matches than it did.
So Spaz is to you what Tough as Nails (Cheap as Chips) is to me, right?

Anyway, DrillZilla was bloody good in spite of its limited weaponry, though. It beat Firestorm 3 and Manta, finished as runner-up in the Second World Championship (Where it fought Razer to a judge's decision), and won one of the US Robot Wars Annihilators.

And also, it did actually compete in Battlebots with more weaponry (A sawblade rack in the front pincery things) as "DreadBot".

Jonzu95 (ZX Ultra - 7

Congratulations GF93!
Thanks Jonzu! And anyway, I'd like to thank the rest of GTM in helping me to becoming the builder of the first ever COTM on GTM!
I think I'll buy me a Range Rover to celebrate  :approve:

COASTER OF THE MONTH- APRIL

LOOPSCREW
Corkscrew Roller Coaster

And also, does it mean I choose the criteria for the next COTM?  ;)

Personally I don't mind what he did. I was over-defensive of my high scores, now I don't need to worry for now they can't be beaten to take back the metaphorical throne.
Personally, I think he's wrecked the whole point of the Arcade. I mean, what good is it if I can't beat high scores?

Let's hope that that cheat's scores are erased, soon. And if I was an administrator, I'd ban him from the Arcade permanently if he did it again.

What, you're gonna cry now? It's just an arcade on a web forum :P.
Plus I didn't really do this to get high scores - I needed some practice in doing web scraping and making false HTTP requests :P.
No, I'm just going to be FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-ing the rest of the week.

I mean, the reason why I know you hacked it was because for starters, getting a score of 103,371,337 points is impossible.
The maximum score you can get in a standard game of Pac-Man you can get is 3,333,360 points, which only comes from getting every dot, ghost and fruit in each stage without dying, and getting the highest possible score from the split-screen level at Round 255.
And anyway, you can't get a score that ends in the number "7" anyway, because everything you can get scores for is in 10s.

So yeah, thanks for ruining the purpose of the Arcade. I hope you're happy.

Not, really, but the Admin can issue a simple command to the DB to remove it :P.
It had better be removed, Serge.

I mean, I was happy being champion at Pac-Man, but nooo....

At least I'm still safe in the knowledge that I don't need to hack the game to be champion of at least one Arcade game.
