Well one of the basic rules in RA2 is : Anything attached directly to the chassis cannot be destroyed (infinite hitpoints i think). Then would't baseplates be used for armour?

@doomkiller:razor tips are brittle with 1000 hp and iron spikes have 3000 hp but razer tips have 400 dp and iron spikes have 300 dp.
@wierdo: nobody's perfect.......while building combat robots.
