Ok, wedges don't line up perfect but oh well.
(Image removed from quote.)
Someone needs to make a hammer/axe version of this

I like the use of sledgehammers on the second one

There are no sledgehammers IIRC

I entered this in the Helloface Autumn tournament, minus the front two skis just to be safe. Hoping for decent results.

Another Update, Sacrificing the look of the current skin!  :(

Changes Made
-Armour changed from Titanium 10 to Titanium 5
-Srimech improved, 2 BSGs angled for quick self righting
-Put small wedges on the srimech, works very well!
-Added 2 battlepacks to compensate for the burst motors
-Used remaining weight to increase the size of the beater bars on the disc
-Small DSL teeth on the back of wheel guards - just thought it might work.

Would you still count this legal for battlebots? I'm a little concerned with the skis being intersected (maybe a slot could be cut, it doesn't go all the way through. Otherwise I could remove the front ski.)

You may want to use a higher resolution image for your skin, it will look a lot nicer. Unless I'm just being fooled by the zoom on the screenshot.

I sent my entry, hopefully did it right

Perhaps a slot for the srimech? I'll agree with the use of skis as armour. Nice and original. I like it.  :thumbup

I was thinking of maybe putting something on the paint similar to what BackSlash had in Stock, not a large black slot but sort of seams where the panel would rise IRL

Followed your tips, mainly just banish the long black batteries :

Changed Stuff:
-Wheels changed from micros to hypnos
-Removed long black batteries and added 4 more ants
-Tidied up frame for the weapon
-Wheel guards are now made from DSL bars rather than flipper makers
-Beater bar arrangement on weapon changed due to more space made available by changing the frame
-Added Srimech
-Armour decreased from Steel10 to Titanium10

Now I'm just worried that the srimech is using the wrong motor; is there anything that would work better? Maybe BSGs?

There are already 3 ants there, from what I've seen since I built this you don't need any more than that for a 3 spin motor robot. So remove the long batteries and leave it there?

Just realised that my RA2 has just got the temp.cfg
I'll fix my game tomorrow probably

So I've been on this website for a while, but I never got into the building whilst taking into account all of the stats of the components. I always looked more into modding and mainly the UI (Look at the RW 2013 AI thread by WhamettNuht). I thought I might as well make a showcase so here is what I had entered into BB7 as a HW:

It did allright for my first entry into a tournament. Looking back though I know I'm probably going to get slaughtered for having too much empty space.

Both ideas are good and if either of them are done right I'm sure they will look good. Just a couple of things though:

For Thyrus':
I have a feeling that mixing both cartoon/non-photographs and photographs together might end up looking a little odd/unprofessional (not saying that I am professional!)

For WhamettNuht's:
Should be easy enough to do, but did Ducky ever upload the UI for AoD? Never Mind, found them (What ever happened to him? It's like he's vanished...)

Another option I considered was to keep the same images but replace the brownish, rusty backing with some chevron or something.

And I tried editing some of what looked like the colour codes in the .gib files and they all stayed the same.

After a couple of months of being busy/ forgetting to work on this, I ask you for your ideas...
After these are done I will attempt the TeamHQ.

Looking good. Are there any further updates on UI help? For a while I haven't had time to work on it at all. Just a thought since no one has said since when I posted before.
