Apparently Sage has cleared this up to mean IRL is banned from the Challenge title stuff. IRL challenges can still occur, just not for the title. Which isn't as bad as the post made out to be.

Still plenty of potential to sway the vote. Running the idea past Dragonfire seems like a good system at least. As for IRL, I can't state my personal opinion because I don't want to be banned, as much of a dream come true that would be for people  But, make it somewhat less official, and perhaps nominate an IRL tourney as a championship decider? Mods can check with the host beforehand to see if they're willing to do that, and when the thread is made into a signup thread they state that it's for the IRL Challenge Belt. If there's more than 1 weightclass involved (i.e with Battlebots or Robogames), it's the host's choice as to which class is for the title. Would mean it's defended less often, but better than having nothing at all.

Tbh you could easily do an 8-person bracket with the people mentioned in Sage's post to determine a inaugural Champion. Make it DSL-S HW rules and then that way you guarantee a different meta for the first full month.

 2-burst rear hinged variation of last night's bot, called Bee Hive. Couldn't make it 3 burst as extenderwork from the wedge would pass right through the storm burst cylinders. So instead I made the paddles wider. Not as much fun as Hornets Nest IMO.

Nobody cares about the double post, holy sh** look at that thing. Snake byte's mad extender arm is cool and all but Predaplant is unique. Kinda want to send you Aphid and Mantis for it to snack on.

Whilst RA2 can only export the chassis texture at 256x256, you can import larger texture sizes into it (512x512 or 1024x1024 being some more common sizes).
There's not much more I can suggest that hasn't already been said but it's a very good first bot. Excited to see what else you can make. :)

The videos are very well put together, the sound mix was a bit odd though. Felt like it was missing a music track, it was just rather quiet otherwise.
Echoing earlier sentiments these are some amazing bots, so looking forward to some of the clashes later on.

Probably not as boring as people feared after the first round. Pleased with Aphid going through although I didn't think the fight with jdg37 was the snoozefest we thought it would be, definitely worse fights this round. Up against another wedge so I can't see why I can't progress again.

Is this your SHW for our challenge? If so, you're gonna feel pretty cheated when you see my design after all the work you've put into this.
There'd be no way i'd be putting in all of this effort into the skin if our challenge wasn't postponed, so i'm not fussed.
