Are they able to do 360 degree continuous rotation (For driving, obviously. =P), or do I have to take them apart myself and change bits whilst watching a tutorial on youtube?
You'll have to modify them

You can bend HDPE with your hands :P

Ultimately it's your choice
Personally, I would build something like a flipper *properly* (i.e with screws), before attempting a spinner. I see spinners as dangerous, robots capable of chopping off your fingers. I'd hate to see one held together with glue.
But like I say, it's your choice completely, but I'd definitely advise against making a side flipper

I have already built a flipper myself and thats what i'm converting into a spinner
I know and appreciate that :P, what I'm advising is to make one a little more professionally (i.e. held together with screws, not glue gun), because I'd hate to see what someone can do with a glue-gunned spinning blade

Right, there is what I see as two problems here:
For a start, lets just clarify that you've never built a serious robot yourself
To attempt to build a spinner for your first robot I see as a bad idea. They can be very dangerous even at the 150g level and could quite easily result in you having a missing finger. I would advise building something such as a servo driven flipper first yourself, and doing the best job possible i.e. Not simply taping components to a piece of HDPE. Secondly, if you are going to attempt a featherweight robot, build it yourself! By buying anything you ever compete with you will not learn, and not feel any sense of accomplishment.
Please do not take this the wrong way, and of course ultimately it's your decision. All I'm trying to do is give some advice, what I would do, and point you towards the best possible direction :)

how far is it from milton keynes?
About 60-65 miles.
that's good, i'll probably be able to talk a parent into taking me then
Getting directions on Google Maps is underrated
so, where exactly is the venue?
See Vertigo's post
Snibtson Discovery Park, LE67 3LN. I could also give you an even more detailed idea on directions and time, but that would involve you giving your home address and noone wants that =P (that means me as well)
good, just one more detail: time of beggining, and time of end
Just to make sure you know, the heavyweight and featherweight robots will NOT be fighting, and will simply be on display The only active weightclass will be the ants

if you want to pay for it, sure
TBH decent motors aren't that much more It's probably even a saving the amount people have to replace those motors

Robots Live is heading down to Snibston Discovery Park for a static display and I believe ant competition
Pretty sure we'll be heading down there :P

Couldn't you give it a decent motor upgrade too? :P

I don't think Chaos 2 would do extremely badly today, especially if they got some better pneumatics, which wouldn't be a fortune.
Yes it would Look, if you've not built anything pneumatic you wouldn't understand the costs and complications involved

chaos 2 may not last very long with the heavyweights of today but it probably would have been rebuilt at least once by now to keep up with todays bots if it was still fighting
In which case the total cost would have gone up to atleast £3000 :P

Yeah, they're not cheap :P
It cost us £3000 to build Eruption
Although, not always- Chaos 2 for instance, cost only £250 to build, and we all know what it went on to do
Yeah but by today's standards, Chaos 2 is pretty pathetic :P
I wouldn't say so, meself. It's not really a fair way of looking at it, considering that it's over 11 years old now, but even still, I bet it'd give some of today's competitors a run for their money. I know it won't fight again for the purpose of doing so, but still.
I very much doubt that, I'd be surprised if it lasted 30 seconds with Thor

Eruption's 95kg atm, 97 with gas
If your robot isn't atleast 75kg I'd say it would be dangerously light
