I can probably tell that some of you have been waiting for this for a while. I've been contemplating making a post about this for a long time, and I've been trying to find the right way to say this without being, well, inflammatory.
But whether you've been looking at my recent posts or my activity, it's clear that I've just gotten bored of GTM. It's why I've tried to be an attention-seeker recently - I lose the spotlight and all of a sudden I realize that I don't play RA2 and the community isn't as active in other areas as it used to be. I have nothing against the people here and that isn't a factor in my leaving but of all the times, this is the kind of time to reflect on how I've contributed over the last few years. I've left my mark but there's no way to take any of this forwards. It was just a fluke and I have just realized this now. Will I still lurk and occasionally post? Yes. However, my long-term involvement with this community and RA2 in general has faded to a point where I can't lie to myself and say that I really am a true member any more. 125

these are some odd picks that are probably wrong, but i will attempt to justify them with patented wakkydude logic
Destruction Derby RAW: Dragonfly this song really showed the true anger and madness that this game attempted to portray - the gritty guitar riffs and the maniacal sounds dropped everywhere were perfect. League of Legends: Here Comes Vi 13 champion soundtracks and several other event soundtracks were used in the login screen for over 7 months before this one, but this is the first time that riot actually hit the nail on the head and released a login song that was not only (diana's one was pretty cool but got outshined by this one in particular) Bubberducky TRUE EMOTION 127
Existing Games / Re: Games you think are underrated« on: April 14, 2013, 12:22:47 PM »I know pretty much everyone on this forum will have heard of or even played this game, but Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction for the PC and Xbox. For some reason, it's often viewed as the lesser brother of AoD despite the increased amount of licensed robots, better graphics, weapons with improved power, more arenas and a larger career mode. the criticism stemmed from 1 - the physics being worse 2 - the game being horribly unoptimised, sometimes lagging on the best of pcs and 3 - the house robot ai being suicidal at best, ignoring yellow and red cards and killing you sometimes way out from their corner however, the mars level ruled 128

I seriously hope they all stick around and not move to NASCAR. As much as I love NASCAR as well, I hope both series' grow and flourish. Open wheel really needs a strong following over here in the States. Glad the Texas race went well! 134

Existing Games / Re: Team Fortress 2« on: November 06, 2012, 04:27:23 PM »I picked up TF2 for the first time yesterday. Do you get used to the frantic-ness of the game? Because I got killed like every 5 seconds on the training mission no matter which class I chose, and all the sights and sounds make it impossible for me to find something to shoot at. It's crazy. That's why the game has been designed with such clear colour pallettes and character outlines, because in the heat of battle you should be able to know what you're shooting fairly quickly. The dustbowl mission usually has several methods of getting to the capture point, not all of which will be dominated by sentries. |
