As much as I like my iPhone 3G, I don't think I'm upgrading anytime soon. And I'm still waiting for updated Android builds for the 3G, once they get power management and support for dual booting with the new 4.0 LLB and support the new baseband firmware, I'm switching.
Ya I have seen some videos awhile back showing the Iphone running a android build. I thinks that's cool becuase you can still have apple's OS with all the apps and you can switch to have the opens source OS of android to. What is the latest build the Iphone has for android currently? The only problem with my build is GPS and my cameras don't work, don't care much for GPS because I don't even use it in WM but the cameras I want. Because now their is a couple phones in the US that have the videocall feature and would love to test it out since I haven't been able to since I have the European version of the X1 and American phone networks don't support this feature yet.

Apple not offering the rubber bumpers for free is ridiculous. What Steve Jobs said is right, though. I had some sort of Sony Ericsson that would do the same thing when held certain ways.
I only heard of about 3 phones that have that reception issue 4 including yours, For him to say all phones have this type of issue is absurd. I agree, if the rubber bumper solves the problem apple should be offering it for free.

@RR that's cool you got a job at phonedog.com, it's one of the 4 websites I follow for phone information. This is my opinion: I own the Sony X1 which is WM based but I can also run Android 2.1 and soon 2.2 is coming . I like being able to do anything I want with my phone and not worry about some company telling me what I can or can not do with my phone after I payed my own money for it. But the thing is WM and Android is for people who are pretty much going to hack and do all sorts of mods to their phones, but not everybody is like that some people just want a phone that is simple to use right out of the box for things like music, web browsing and etc. Which apple does best with their phones making everything simple and easy to use. So I can understand why some people don't mind having a lock down OS because they have everything they need right in front of them. It's all just a matter of choice of what you need in a phone and what you want to do with your phone  . But what I don't like is that ass clown Steve Jobs making excuses for the Iphone 4 reception problem saying all phones have the issue where if you hold it wrong you lose signal. What a bunch of Bull sh!t and the fact Apple won't admit it's their fault for the issue instead of telling the consumer their holding their own phone wrong is ridiculous.
