I'll take Dreadnought if that's okay.

My weapons are extremely powerful as well, and your bot isn't wide enough to get past them.

F*** yo 20000 HP frame :trollface

Also... is Quark-nova my Hypnodisc rep from the first NQRW tourney?! Not angry, but its the chassis shape and the overall design that look very familiar... :p
Yeah, I knew I was blatantly ripping off your bot as I was building it.  However, mine is also a SnS, so its 3rd spinner actually comes into play, unlike yours :P

OK, going from bots I would least like to face to bots I'm comfortable facing:

Omega 3 - Wide enough to stop my spinners and strong enough to damage me while withstanding my attacks.
Silver Lining - Very strong like Omega 3, just lacks the ability to pin.
Calm-Assertive - It has plenty of reach, so it can get to my chassis easily while I won't be able to cause a lot of damage in return.
Tasmanian Mouse - Those weapons are very strong, and it'll be able to pin me very easily.  I can only hope my discs keep spinning while it does so.
Billy-Bot - Might cause some damage to my chassis, but its weapons and weapon supports are weak.
Recycle! - Pretty slow, but the weapons look deadly, and that wedge plate is gonna mess up my drive if it gets under me.
Minionbeetle - Seems like it's fast enough to get under me, and its weapon isn't to be take lightly either.
518/2 - Its weapons could knock me off balance, and it's wide enough that I might have trouble knocking it to the side.
Lazy Dog - It looks fast, I just hope it doesn't have enough power to throw me out of the arena.
Ironclad - I don't know if I can break through all that armor.
You Ruined It - From the preview video, it looks like it has enough reach to hit my chassis, just not sure how well it will withstand my attacks.
Swift Justice - Strong weapons and might be fast enough to get under me.
Devour - I'm sure I can out weapon this easily, but I'm not sure about those spikes.
Purrloin - Very exposed chassis, but the weapons look pretty low.
T--MinusMinus - Chances are it's not going to get under me, or anything else, but I'd be worried since those weapons pack quite a punch.
Dr. Crab PHD - The weapons might be low enough to hit my chassis, but that's the only thing about it that worries me.
SirNotAppearingInThisFilm - Weak weapons and an exposed chassis, and I don't think the drive is fast enough.
Cage Brawler - Slow, mediocre weapon, and I don't think that frame will hold up.
Anorexia - Only got to the final last time because of luck.

I don't think you need the aluminum extenders on Destroying Angel in the first place.  Also move the spinners farther apart.  IIRC you posted a pic of this before, and it didn't look realistic in that pic because the weapons intersected.

I'm not sure how you can improve the others, but maybe switch the Tornado wheels on Death Cap for Vlad wheels unless you need the larger diameter.

HOLY CARP

I JUST REALIZED THAT REFLECTION LOST A WHEEL WAY BACK IN ROUND 4

AND IT'S BEEN FIGHTING WITH 3 WHEELS EVER SINCE

AND NO ONE HAS EVEN NOTICED INCLUDING THE OUNCE

I just noticed myself after I finished putting the round 6 video together and reviewing it for errors.  Ounce will be happy to know I fixed the problem (gave ReFlection 4 wheels and took away a spare) and re-filmed its round 6 fight.  I can't really re-film its round 5 fight at this point though.
I knew I lost a part back in round 4 but I couldn't figure out what it was.  Thanks for clearing that up.  Shame though because I probably would still have perfect wins if it weren't for that mistake.

Anyway:

Seen Ounce's entry.

All hope is lost.
I wouldn't worry that much, the new version might have a less vulnerable chassis, but it still has exposed sides, which you wouldn't have trouble damaging with that powerful weapon.  The question is if you can do so while it's tearing up your side.

Still think I should've skin the discs to look like records though :/

Not bad for a first bot, though this will run fine off just a Nifty battery, and it's possible to make it invertible using only shiny hub wheels.

Freeziez, I thought I sent you an update for my MW.  Also, WTH?  Urjak stole my bot!

That said, my LW has a chance in round 1, but if Freeziez isn't using my updated MW then it's not gonna get win its match like I expect.

Any advice on Ramp To Heaven?
You could use the remaining weight to change a couple of the skirts from titanium to steel, and using Wheely Big Cheese wheels can help with the invertibility issues.

Judging by how it did in 2L2Q, you'll probably need a steeper slope on the wedge in order to consistently force your opponents out of the arena.

This is really the best I can do as I haven't experimented with this type of design.

That does look very well-built, but I wonder if putting the spinner in front would improve the weight distribution.

The bracket wedge looks like it's blocking the top weapons.  Even if it isn't it, doesn't look useful since the weapons already prevent bots from going over the top.  Also, try to make it wider: it looks like it will get flanked easily.

Discussion / Re: What is would your own signature bot be?
« on: October 04, 2011, 11:28:44 PM »
Sage, I wasn't implying that as the reason NF should be my signature bot.  I was just surprised because I thought R0B0 knew more about BTTB1.

Still, Nuclear Fallout is possibly my best stock HW, and one of the few bots I've entered into multiple tournaments as well as try to hype up a little.  It should at least be somewhat recognizable.

You could just make a new post rather than edit your original one.  Also, try to crop your pictures so only the bot (and weight) is shown.

Now for the new bot, you're still using too many batteries: this bot will function fine with a single Supervolt.  That rear trapper thing doesn't look too useful either, I would replace it with just a snowplow on an extender attached to the baseplate anchor.

Normally, I would complain about you having custom components in your game, but since you've done a good job not using them so far, I'll leave it alone for the most part.  Just remember that we have a separate section for bots with custom parts.

The chassis looks way too tall, and the extender on the perm is unnecessarily heavy.  I agree you could use the spare weight to add light DS teeth to the ends of the beaters so it would have at least as much weaponry as Cash Cow.

Chassis space management is good, but you don't need that many batteries, and they need to be built to the weight limit.  Also, try to use shiny hub wheels as much as possible, and focus on just one weapon system at a time.
