DSL TC Showcases / Re: GF93's Dee-Ess-Ell Showcase« on: June 22, 2010, 11:52:00 AM »Use the central attach point on one side of the halfsheet, attach like a caster. Your chassis may be too low though.I'll give it a try anyway, though. Thanks for the tip

Well, like my other stock showcase (Which REALLY needs updating), here is where I will post stuff related to DSL, and you guys comment whether it's good or not. Here we go...
![]() This is a relatively realistic drum spinner I cobbled up in an afternoon. It's called Maximus, and it's a heavyweight, with 5mm Plastic Armour. ![]() And there's an inside view. It's quite well-protected around the sides, and its drum is low enough to connect with almost all wedges from the front, and its invertability helps to provide a nice anti-flipper/popup attack strategy. Also, I didn't feel like painting it at the time, so I'll leave the paintjob to whoever's remaking it in BTTB2. Comments? 11828
Tournament Archives / Re: GF93's Tourney Wishlist« on: June 21, 2010, 04:09:51 PM »You just need to showcase something by Friday.Right, I'll be off to my Robot Lab then. GK, to the GF93mobile! 11829
Tournament Archives / Re: GF93's Tourney Wishlist« on: June 21, 2010, 04:06:42 PM »@GF93: Just a DSL version of the first one, with a realistic rule.OK, I'll see what I can build for then. 11830
Tournament Archives / Re: GF93's Tourney Wishlist« on: June 21, 2010, 04:05:41 PM »Replica Wars 2 will be after TTT and will be DSL LW. I'd like people to make replicas of their IRL bots if they have any.Oh, OK. I had hoped for it to be HW again, because those are probably the easiest reps to build. Know what I mean? 11831

Might do. Provided I don't get thrashed again at least = /
What are the rules? 11832
Tournament Archives / Re: GF93's Tourney Wishlist« on: June 21, 2010, 03:58:52 PM »I have both, and I'd do it, but A) I'm running BTTB 2 ATM, and B) I couldn't just do that without asking and getting permission from Reier.I know the feeling. I mean, when I took over Qwerty's MS paint tourney, I asked him first before blindly diving into it. 11833

Shame... if I had the knowhow and the software, I'd do it myself.

Tournament Archives / Re: GF93's Tourney Wishlist« on: June 21, 2010, 03:53:27 PM »What makes you say that?I'm guessing it's probably an estimate, considering that the three stock weight classes have been used in past series. I'd love to do Stock HW or MW again, though. 11835

Though I've still got a good while before I start hosting Tournaments, I have been wondering if there will be future installments to these previous Tournaments-
- Replica Wars - n00b Warz (Preferably Stock HW) - US vs. UK These aren't demands, but just passing thoughts, really. Discuss. 11837
Off-Topic Discussion / Re: General Chatter Thread« on: June 21, 2010, 03:28:32 PM »what do you mean: "you work on an entry"? :oBuild something for the tournament, that's what! *Sigh, you can't speak nowadays without some dreadful double entendre lurking around the corner!* 11838
Off-Topic Discussion / Re: General Chatter Thread« on: June 21, 2010, 03:24:59 PM »And after the movie, we went to cinema watch movie: Furry Vengeance. It was boring movie though...I've decided to stay away from that. From what I can gather on the trailer, it appears to be a crappy family-"comedy" film, overly relying on talking animals, rubbish pop-culture references and bodily functions to get anything across. To me, those are the most lazy and disheartening kind of kid's films. Also- Noobwarz :DIf there's another one, I might work on an entry = P 11839
Chatterbox / Re: steam train thread« on: June 21, 2010, 02:58:16 PM »A bit off-topic. but back on subject.Flying Scotsman's probably my favourite. The Peppercorn Class (Like the Tornado) was also quite brilliant. 11840
