I found a throh near the train tracks.

Can't find a Sawk though >.<
You won't be able to with the version you have (I believe you have White, yes?)

You can find it elsewhere though

I found it just outside the forest where you battle that person who then offers to heal your pokemon, it was the first one I encountered too

I was around about level 55 when I beat it, and that was just from mashing the attack button against all enemies I fought, then summon rushing it.

By posting constructive arguments/posting something that appeals to somebody with rep powers (in the sense that they like it) look at other people's rep and how they got +1, and then find some way to mimic it without looking like you're trying to mimic it...alternatively, forget it even exists, like me, I always forget that rep is there until I see somebody post something about it.

I don't really class PC under console. It is a device which has a primary purpose of work, but can also be used for games. Many people do not buy a PC for the sole purpose of playing games (or if they do, they pay the better part of £1000 for something that is obsolete when it leaves the shop (although this may be becoming less true). Just like the primary purpose of a mobile phone (not android or iPhone) is to contact people via text or by calling them, but it can also be used to play games. I rarely use my PC or phone for gaming, with some exceptions.

More than most. Almost all companies.

Dark Souls (Never played it, but this comic sums it up pretty well)

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls were made by From Software, published by NamcoBandai, and were made to be insanely difficult games that don't hold your hand on the way through. The tutorial for Demon's Souls was literally 'Press circle to backstep' *Do so* *Enemy takes a step forward and stabs you* 'Aww, tough break, should've been paying attention, now fight this massive creature, aww, you died, too bad, fortunately that was the one battle you were supposed to lose'. Seriously, the first words that appear when you press New Game are 'Prepare to die'. Dark Souls is more difficult, it has checkpoints. Dark Souls is also open world, as opposed to Demon's Souls hub system.

The Wii does have 'hardcore' games, if you look hard enough. But then again, that depends on your definition of 'hardcore'. I have heard it used in relevance to RPGs (due to them being a massive timesink) and 18+ games (for gore and guns). And there are examples on the Wii for both definitions, and by examples, I mean good examples.

What I do find funny is that this is essentially what's happened:
Nintendo: We are going to do motion controls
Sony and Microsoft: This will never catch on...
*Nintendo shoots ahead in sales*
Sony: We have stolen the Wiimote design, changed it slightly and incorporated the EyeToy
Microsoft: We have stolen the EyeToy design, improved it greatly, and removed the necessity for a controller
Nintendo: Our next console won't have motion control.

As for staying on topic, this thread has devolved into general industry discussion, from what I can tell.

Dislike much of Gen 5, I prefer Gen 2, as it goes, Gold/Silver/Crystal are my favourite Pokemon games (Screw Mudkipz, I Liek Cyndaquilz). As for Digimon, the games can be rather interesting, and I did quite like some of the designs for some of the earlier monsters (Garudamon was my favourite, as I remember), as well as the basic storyline for the anime (I remember being able to watch a couple of episodes, and I think I had a book that had a basic overview of the first series too).

PC > 3DS (purely for the browser, so not much of a gaming choice) > Magnavox Odyssey (purely for retro reasons)

I don't play games much any more, tbh

Does PSP come equal to 3DS?

As I said, I can't make one of those, it would be too difficult to choose, I would look at the list and go 'But...this is better than that because of this, and that is better because of that...'

So here is my opinion, in no particular order PC=DS=DSLite=3DS=Dreamcast=Gameboy Pocket (Got one of those today, Tetris is awesome)=GBA=GBASP=N64=PS3=36=Wii=Snes=PS1=PS2=Gamecube=PSP=Gameboy Colour...=Magnavox Odyssey=Amiga=Commodore 64 (gotta love my dad for having retro consoles that I have played)...I think that is all the ones I have played...oh, wait, =Megadrive

All of those consoles have good points, bad points, and games that are memorable. And I may receive some flak for this, but it is just my opinion, I find it quite difficult to judge consoles after playing and enjoying playing them

They need to make a properly realistic war game to see if people enjoy it as much. Rather than 'Get shot, somebody throws jam on your face, you wipe it off and are all better', it needs to be 'Get shot, walk around injured until you are fully healed, or bleed to death'. They should also make a 'realistic' zombie game that follows the old rule of 'Disable the body, or destroy the brain', rather than riding a bicycle in a frilly pink dress hitting them in the arm with a baseball bat until they fall over, you need very low health, and to actually hit them in the head to kill them. Of course, I am sure that Dead Rising was never supposed to be a serious zombie game, and was always supposed to just be a massive comical ****around.
and, on the reverse, an FPS that is child-friendly and not at all realistic

like chaos in the viennese whirld

They have made a few purely unrealistic comical FPSs, I think...pretty sure I have played at least one... I will need to scour the depths of my memory to find the nostalgia pockets to see if I can remember it, or find out that I was mixing stuff up again.

They have paintball FPS games, but they haven't been pulled off well.

She means cartoonish humorous games. I'm guessing it would be kind of like Ratchet and Clank with gems such as a character called 'Skid McMarks' and then there was the RYNO gun which stood for 'Rip Ya a New One'.

In all fairness, I have been asked 'which console do you prefer' many times over, and I have always replied with 'I really don't know, there are things on each console that I really enjoy playing, I don't think it is really possible for me to decide on a single console that I would buy' and it's true, I could list several games for each console that I would want that console for, and not be able to prioritise them.

Stop with the guns, please.
Morons love war games

FTAFY.

War is the sport of the ignorant and the fearful.

...Isn't there a possibility that it was a joke?

Plus this could also be a generalisation of the online community of games like CoD. Sometimes it makes me thankful that there is a mute button, and even more thankful that there is zombies mode for me to play with my dad on Black Ops.

Friend told me to check this band out, and may even be able to get me their EP album (apparently a friend of his gave him a load of them)

I don't actually remember saying anything like that, to be honest...I don't like FPS games because they all seem pretty much the same to me. I've been talked into playing a few, such as Halo 3, COD4 and Gears Of War 2, and I really couldn't find that many differences between them.

I don't like playing FPSs alone. I only play FPSs to spend time with my dad, horde mode on Gears for an hour at lunch is quite a nice thing to do, especially if he is too busy to have me up his for a few weeks. As for more unique FPSs, I'm inclined to say Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I quite enjoyed it but then again, I was playing it non-lethally with stealth, so that might be why. If you have a PS3, I would be inclined to say Singularity (of course, it may be worth looking into these games before basing it off of my opinion).

A funny thing my friend did was he took Medal of Honour, CoD Modern Warfare 2, CoD Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 2 and 3, cropped the cases slightly, and put them together, just to prove how similar the cover art of most generic war games are. And the hilarious thing is that it actually worked pretty much perfectly.

Well, in my opinion, home consoles don't suck (that may be due to the fact that I enjoy playing multiplayer with my dad, plus the fact that there are a select few games that I do enjoy playing that can only be got for home consoles (Dark Souls, Xenoblade Chronicles)), but as I said, each has it's own pros and cons, and each of those pros and cons will have a greater/lesser effect based on who the person is (describing Dark Souls as a mercilessly difficult game will attract some people, and cause others to go away).

And Scourge, opinions, heck, even Hard Bot got the 'in my opinion' bit down, hence why I haven't been able to think up that many arguments agaist his points. Many people enjoy the games that are released these days. I am currently enjoying Dark Souls for PS3 (very difficult game, I enjoy the challenge), Gears for 360 (multiplayer with dad, the only reason he got it for me), and Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii (...it's a massive RPG that had an interesting looking battle system, plus I had heard about the various other game mechanics, and decided to get it).

But as this is just supposed to be about the Wii, there is a lot of family-orientated shovelware, Nintendo stuff, and ports either, but searching through the rubbish to find the gold is just like real life. There are many good games on the Wii (not just based on my opinion). Xenoblade Chronicles, Sin and Punishment 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, De Blob, Red Steel, No More Heroes, Pokemon, Boom Blox, Madworld, House of the Dead: Overkill, Monster Hunter Tri, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Crystal Bearers, the list goes on. To disregard a console because of the many bad games that have been released for it is kind of stupid really as you could be missing out on some great stuff (although I'm pretty sure you are disregarding it for the reason that you don't have enough time to start up a home console which is fair enough as time is a major factor in the purchasing of both games and consoles).

The RPG Genre can be an exception to 'Play one, played them all' due to the many different applications of RPG systems. Dark Souls, for example is an insanely difficult RPG, and different to many others that I have played. Turn Based Strategy games, FPS, and RTS have managed to implement RPG systems to make a game more unique (heck, even a football game managed it (Inazuma Eleven)).

Saying that the graphics of a computer game matter is like saying that because a person is ugly, their personality will be horrible, and therefore you should hate them. And that just isn't true due to the fact that beautiful, or 'beautiful' people can have horrible personalities, and the ugliest person in the world could have a great sense of humour, and be very friendly.

Long story short; Graphics =/= Gameplay

Sure, graphics can add to the gaming experience, and make a battle scene that much more epic, but it isn't everything.

Besides, The Wiis graphics aren't that bad, it's just when people don't use the Wiis power to its full potential. Monster Hunter Tri, and Xenoblade Chronicles, along with several others look great. But then again, people have different definitions of 'great' graphics.

Original original 360 RROD'd, in fact, my dad had one on release, when he took it out of the box, it didn't work.
Original 40GB PS3 YLOD'd, ours barely lasted 2 years before doing that (after the warranty was over).
Original Wii ha-...oh wait, has the Wii had any technical issues at all (genuine question, I'm not sure and have not had any problems with mine)

Each console has it's own pros, cons, exclusives, reasons why people prefer them over other consoles, but saying that something sucks as though it is fact is just immature and pointless, will lead nowhere but petty arguments which generally devolve into pointless personal insults.

...I think this is relevant...at least partially.
