^I already sent it to TRiaS. I thought he was uploading them. >)>
Well obviously he isn't planning to, so maybe you could save everyone some time and just upload your bot so freeziez (he's hosting, right?) can get the challenge done?

I volunteered to do it a week and a half ago but Gazea didn't post his bot >.>

BAH ! A creepypasta thread ? A stupid thing designed to make you FEAR situations that will never happen ? Weak spirits !

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Halloween is coming up...sort of. What other thread would I make?

Basically viral horror stories. Some good sources if you're interested:

The KYM page also gives some good places to start.

Let's face it. I've played a LOT of horror games. Silent Hill, F.E.A.R., Amnesia: The Dark Descent, you name it, I've played it. However, only one game stands out to me as the absolute scariest game I have ever played. This is the kind of game that you'll have nightmares about a year after playing it. The kind of game you wouldn't even show to a person if you hated him.

I found the game up for download on an old, relatively inactive forum. You probably couldn't find it you tried. I still don't remember the name of it. The forum only got a few posts per day, isolated from the rest of the Internet...and I hope it stays that way. There seemed to be an odd cult around the forum following the game. To see what it was all about, I easily found a download link and started the game up.

The game started out with a grey and somber menu screen with poor lighting, and a dirty metallic background. To start, it seemed that I had to create a customizable character. Now, the most prominent part of the game at this point that stood out was the music...if it can so be called. Strange banging sounds were in the background - it was more like random noises than music. Unnatural drilling sounds and heavy hammers could be heard every so often.

Anyway, my character could be equipped with a variety of cool weapons: axes, saws, swords...yeah, pretty cool. Unfortunately the game did not let me equip any of them, and I assumed you had to unlock them by progressing in the game. I guess I had to start from square one...no cool stuff on my character, but at least I got to give him a nice red-themed appearance. I started what appeared to be the first level...the game didn't really give many directions. Now that I think about it, did it give any at all?

Anyway, my character started in a dark chamber with dull grey walls and no windows...felt like a torture chamber, really. Wait, torture chamber? Oh God, is that what those drilling and hammering sounds were...? This was where I realized that something was DEFINITELY wrong here. It was not your ordinary video game. There was a giant mechanical skull laughing maniacally affixed high up on a wall...I was really disturbed at this point in the game and wished that I'd stopped playing. But some odd impulse in me drove me to keep going. It was presented in a first person perspective, and some kind of terror machine with a HUGE axe attached faced me across the chamber. There was distorted screaming in the background...was it getting louder? But I couldn't move. None of the buttons did anything. All the while the machine raced toward me, and all I could do was watch as it hammered the axe down on my character.

Seeing that axe digging deep into my character's flesh as it slammed down was horrifying. My character could do nothing as it was savagely destroyed by the giant weapon in the dark chamber that just kept hitting, controlled by a supernatural power. Then, suddenly, my character, now battered, broken and likely near dead, was ELECTROCUTED as if what it hadn't already suffered was enough. After another hit from the sharp axe, it was electrocuted another time and started having spasms all over the chamber, being slammed into the walls over and over again - hard, through some unknown force. The screaming in the background was now ear-piercing and my ears were ringing, but I could not summon the will to turn off the speakers, too scared to move. The screen turned black for about three seconds, then flashed back to my character, battered and broken, to be electrocuted one last time, finishing the job. It was definitely dead.

The game, as like to call it, "The Torture Chamber" was obviously made by some sick-minded **** who just wanted to have fun scaring some victims. I still have nightmares about being battered to death by that monstrous axe. Search at your own discretion, but if you dare play it...remember the name "Robot Arena 2".

I wrote that in like 40 minutes, haha. Now for a real one:

---

You are home alone, and you hear on the news about the profile of a murderer who is on the loose. You look out the sliding glass doors to your backyard, and you notice a man standing out in the snow holding a kitchen knife. He fits the profile of the murderer exactly, and he is smiling at you. You gulp, picking up the phone to your right and dialing 911. You look back out the glass as you press the phone to your ear, and notice he is much closer to you now. You then drop the phone in shock.

There are no footprints in the snow. It's his reflection.

Don't you just list the thing that's after "facebook.com/"?

The minimum chassis height you need for this bot is three "clicks" tall, which is when the slider moves up from the lowest level by three pixels.
Keep in mind you can only do this if you mount the HP Z-tek on a baseplate or on a SnapperII. The SnapperII option is a bit better because you can also mount the snowplow on the Snapper. If you'd like to keep the HP Z-tek as it is, the chassis does need to be 5 clicks up.

For invertibility, 4 clicks up for the RADs should be good. Normally I use 3 clicks, but one higher works just as well and helps compensate for the bit of tribar sticking up through the top of the chassis. You can stack the CB inside the HP Z-tek (has to be raised 7 clicks; it should look like it's just under the mini-hexagon holding the axle), Nifty, or the SnapperII (possibly just on top of or under the Snapper, though you may have to snapper load).

I'm still open to host...if Gazea uploads his bot maybe I can beat DF to it. :gawe: (TRIAS uploading bots + AI is even better)

I'm picturing a stoic blond Asian guy in Toronto. amirite?
Preeeeeeeeetty much. But we moved to London (the Canadian doppelganger). I could dye my hair blond if I wanted to but right now it's just a natural black like most Asians. :P

Wait where did you get stoic from

Dude, I know what/where London, Ontario is.

And stoic is just a Swedish stereotype. Kinda like the redneck Texan. I'll also assume that you shop at Ikea, love meatballs and listen to ABBA 24/7 :P
WELL THEN MISTER CRAB FISHER.
