It wouldn't quite be the same without the side decorations though. Resetti said he couldn't do them.
Herbinator = Boss replica though. 
If anyone who's good at photoshop and the like can figure out how to un-distort the skin, I'd gladly do the rest.

Herbinator. It's another BFE'd chassis shape. I can do these as long as there isn't any artwork on the sides. There was just a "53" on the right side, which I don't think was a big deal to leave out.

Space constraints. As you can see, it would be impossible to fit astro's side by side. Piglets have a very tiny collision mesh; they can fit into tight spaces and go almost all the way out of the chassis. I use them all the time in my replicas and just make them the power equivalent of an NPC or whatever (of course I didn't do that here) *takes a bow* I'm surprised really, I thought someone would build a replica of Johnny 5 or some other real-life robot and win this. Disappointed even that it was so uncontested (no offence Maz).

SO, some exciting news, I've figured out how to make cutoff wedges in Robot Arena 2. The downside is that the skin gets all distorted in some places, so as you can see here I haven't bothered to do the side panels. Colossus

I came here via the RA2 forums too, but how I discovered that is a pretty interesting story. I had played the 5 Robot Wars games and was disappointed by their limitations; I think I saw RA2 on Ebay occasionally but I ignored it because it wasn't Robot Wars. I'd heard about how the legendary Mauler was too dangerous for Robot Wars, so it got me searching for videos of it. Keep in mind this was 2006, Youtube was in its infant stages, so nothing was there. What I did find was this. In addition to getting my Mauler fix, I saw the Tornado Mer vs Particle Accelerator fight to which they remarked "reminds me of Robot Arena 2." In this video, Tornado Mer systematically chops off PA's wheels. That got my attention; the wheels don't fall off like that in the RW games. I bought the game swiftly and found the forums while searching for info because my bots sucked at fighting.
I really want to see those clips but I can't open .rm files D:

Evolution. This thing took way too damn long, and in the end I wasn't motivated to do as many details as I might have. The spinning turret is the weapon, and it looks like it has tracks but it doesn't.

It's hard to say without offending everyone else, but in a nutshell; not overly thin or fat, no acne, not weird looking (hard to describe so you'll just have to trust me), and yes, social. I'm not including myself in the "normal" category for anyone who thinks I'm being overly harsh

Snake isn't as impossible as it once was, thanks to DSL 3. If I'd had more time and wasn't deadset on another idea, I might have tried it. It would probably shatter all rules of IRL building though; the body sections would look like they were connected to each other, but each one would actually be a sort of "island," connected only to the baseplate, the motor would be hovering outside the chassis Also, the body sections would only roll, not go in every direction like the real one. The weapons would work, though. SO I guess my question is, would this sort of thing be called "IRL" in spite of the unorthodox/unrealistic building techniques because it is based on something that actually exists?
