*SPOILERS - ONLY READ IF YOU'VE YET TO WATCH* Excellent match, FB. You deserved the win, but I was ooohhh soo close. S13 is a great bot, and I think that it proves that you can win a tourney with innovative techniques over tried-and-true methods (You've gotta admit, ajustable wedges = pretty sick idea, and getting the AI to work for them is brilliant too).
On an ego-building note (hey, I gotta have something to feel good about :P) I believe that I'm the first back-to-back finalist in BBEANS history, the first builder to score back-to-back-to-back 1-hit KO's in a single match, and currently have the most KO's per match (tied for 2nd most total KO's too with 30, behind only Inf's 34).
That first tourney win still eludes me though, so in the words of the Governator: "I'll be back."

Hello everyone, long time no see! I decided I have to come back and honor this moment, up in the finals. Cheers to Roboshark and R4 for making it this far as well! I can tell this will be an exciting final. BTW I still play RA2 now and then. I may actually have an exciting new bot to post soon. I bet it's just CB posting under FB's account as to not make it look like the tourney might be won by an absentee member :P Sarcastic remarks aside, it's always good to see a veteran return. The community becomes happier for about three days. So, welcome back FB. I'd wish you luck, but I'd be lying if I did. I really hope you do poorly instead :P

I saw mine on display in the "new releases" section of a local department store about a week after it came out.

Personally, I think a better rule would be that a robot cannot exceed 60% of the total weight (480 kg). This way, there's a little more strategy involved (do I make one big bot and one little one? Or do I make two balanced ones?) and I think that it would cut down on the number of "duplicate" multibots (both are the same).

Wait, why can't we have one 500 kg bot and one 300 kg bot?

You know what would be even better? A completed Brawl of the Builders tourney :P
On topic: I like the 3rd party host idea, but won't the lag pretty much limit the bots to being HS? It's much easier fighting with a HS online than say a popup, because of the less control needed.

I have a blue snapper mounted sideways with the main attachment point pointing towards the battery. Then I mounted a 20 cm extender and attached the motor to the extender.

If no one's there yet, I'd like to sign up in the 32nd space please :)

Well, my second consecutive final. How's that for revenge, Mike :P
And R4 scores the 1-hit KO hat trick.

Well, I'm heading down to Washington for a week tomorrow (or later today for some of you), so I won't be around until next Saturday at least. So, I'll leave you guys with my Doomed Bots entry and a decent LW HS. First, my Doomed bots entry. Basically a spin-off of Fury, but with a weaker weapon-breaker, but Redbird drive. I find the stronger drive to be a huge advantage over other HS, and it kills popups quite well too. Called Skrzak. DSA. A decent LW HS. Based on Berserker in the RE-Stocked Beta, it's not quite as damaging, but slightly more durable. DSA. Thoughts?

I see what you're saying, 40757. It's a pretty simple fix though, just have L1 fight L16, L2 fight L15, etc. instead of 1 vs 2 and so on.

I'm pretty sure that's not right. It's not scrambled enough. When I lost in round two of bbeans, I was sent all the way to the bottom, not to the top again. It's right. In BBEANS though, Click's just using a 64-slot version of this so it's a little different.

Same format as BBEANS 2. I think I got everything... Now JB just needs to pretty it up :P

It looks sweet. How does it do against non-HS's?

Two years ago I was playing hockey. It was about 20 seconds into the game and I got a breakaway. One of their defensemen caught me and tackled me from behind. I slid into the net and crushed my left index finger between me and the goal post. I literally turneed the tip to dust, cracked the middle bone in half and dislocated it where the finger meets the hand. I then had to wait in the ER for three hours while people with injuries such as headaches, hip pain, and twisted ankle got medical attention before me.
Not fun at all >.>

I can't figure out how you mounted the drive on the S&S (might have something to do with the axle in the nifty, but I'm not sure), the first popup looks sweet, the second looks to have a better wedge, and the VS is really cool too.

I can try to draw up a bracket if I get time later today. No guarantees though.

I think the criticism about the bracket was fair. It was a bit...odd that competitors that lost in the first round got to move on while others that lost later were eliminated right away, but hey, now you know what to fix for next time :)
I still think that you ran a top-notch tourney JB, but stuff can always be improved.

MW servo crawlers should lose to any decent HS, even if they out-weapon them.
