We could use the rankings  to figure out who gets a bye, might be easier.

Pro-Tip: If you want to bring out the sweetness of fruit, use salt. It blocks the bitter receptors and stimulates the sweet receptors.

I don't think that works on all fruits, as far as I can remember. I usually use salt on apples and watermelons.
It works for absolutely all foods. I even put a little salt in my coffee to reduce bitterness and bring out the flava.

I'm gonna try that with emmental cheese.

I reckon it might be something to do with the bindings not matching up with the bots. Though you might be better to seek GK or JoeBlo's opinion, someone who knows more about AI'ing than I do.

Another tip, Hypno wheels are better than Micros or ants, I think, I would suggest using those for your bot.

Meh, it's fine. That's generally what parents tend to do.

It isn't as high as it looks due to the resolution changes.
It is as low as the bar would go! Limbo!

I sense this would be a good time to teach you about the Slider Chassis glitch. I call it the Megalow Chassis, but that's just me. Basically, what you do, when you're in the bot lab and have laid out your chassis design, when you set the height, slide the bar as far up as you can, then click right at the bottom. The chassis jumps back down much further than you can get with a normal slider, you could save a couple of kg that way, and it gives your opponents less to hit. ;)

New bot looks quite interesting, although the top piston seems to pass through one of the air tanks. Might want to fix that.

Also, what weight class is this bot going to be competing in?

True, you get more of a vertical lift from -45 to 45 degrees than from 0 to 90. Though it's harder to get them up onto the flipper in the first place. Good drive, though, so it should work. =)

"Nar-mour"

That's brilliant.

That's what I'm gonna call skirt hinge armour from now on. Besides cheaty.

I see what u did there.

DSL WAS built for realism, but some things, such as the cheaty "Nar-mour", and AGOD's can't really be helped all that much.

Wedge looks a little too steep for my liking. I'm assuming it gets under them and throws well, though, yeah?

11732
Badnik, I think it would be 3pi/2. 360 degrees equates to 2pi, so 270 (Which I think yours is) degrees would be one and a half pi, or 3pi/2. ;)

I wholeheartedly approve of this, Stagfish. =] Might not count for much, though.

I would submit a team for this, but my laptop's screwed up, and I don't have RA2 on the home comp I'm using. I might build it around Valid Query. ;)

I like the fact that there are much more components in DSL, so we can build a greater variety of machines. Although there might be a bit of confusion over what's realistic and what isn't, like I had when I was starting out.

11735
Awesome. =) Can't wait.

AHHHHH god I had that idea!

I saw it starts out with a mini relica of the chera generator, half way in it blows to bits :D

and no barrels of radioactive substances would be in a generator house, silly!
and if it's gonna be huge, it's gotta have abandond buildings.

Can you say LAGFEST?

I think that we could have an intact Chernobyl, but the bots are fighting in the reactor core, with a bunch of glowing green pillars they have to avoid. And the longer the match goes on, the damage caused to their bots (by radiation) increases exponentially.

Maybe use small beater bars, that'd get you realisticness and some extra weight for better front spikes or weapon motors or whatever you want to use it for.

I had a stab at Penne with Tomato and Bacon Sauce while I was at my dads. Went down surprisingly wel. Sauce was a little runny, but tasted epic.

I'm also awesome with Super Noodles and the spice rack.
