Shinies are a waste. Go 3WD NPCF+ Hypnos/Vlads or 2WD NPCF+Technos.
what i think about those drives:
3WD NPCF +Hypnos/Vlads : no. i just don't want it because when the count down clock starts, you can't escapes the timer because you can't move forward/backward(and also it's unrealistic(yeah i know Y-pout, but that bot is built by team Whyachi, whose designs are sometimes nonsenseical and all the time expensive)
2WD NPCF + Technos: well okay, but i'm not sure about the bots turning speed. will it be slower then the 3WD combo?

Doing it wrong on the drive.
what do you mean? it got 4wd npc-f, and the shinies is because i ran out of weight(i've already did a half of NFX advice of changing to minis though, i'll post a picture  of it doing NFXes advice along with the pic of the bot that i'm going to use on my challenge with Lightning S)

Just download the ready-to-go version from Sage's signature..... it'll make your life easier and won't cause any glitches you've mentioned before.

Discussion / Re: The Ole' Days When You Were A Noob
« on: April 29, 2012, 09:01:36 AM »
Okay....... here we go:
before i've had DSL, i've tried 30 minutes of stock(because it's the trial version). Back then, i can't even rotate stuff(at first i thought that
by holding shift, it'll rotate by itself, but no, it didn't do that). so, i took Barbershop Chop and then turned it into a sawbot. After that i held a 4 way rumble with some of the stock AI bots( i don't remember who were them but i remembered that Grog was with one of them). After i killed 2 bots, i took on Grog, pinned him into the wall, and then grind him to his death. And then after that the purchase now button come up, and then the 30 minutes of stock was up.

DSL
after i found DSL a few days later, i've become immensely inspired by Hypno-Disc, so i tried to built a Hypno Wheel HS. The bot was so bad that Nary could fly from France to Indonesia, come to my house, and then eat me before killing me(the bot had Long black batts, and piglets for drive, and a whole lot of empty space). So, after i found out how to play as the AI, i took Hypno-Disc and then played as it. Then i held a challenge fight with my friend(whom i have told him 'bout DSL and then played it), so i've lurked through the forums, and then created Le Vertical Disc(pics will be up in my showcase sometime this week). Then, after a few days later, i've decided to join the forums.

Discussion / Re: Double or Single Wedge?
« on: April 24, 2012, 08:01:01 PM »
Now why is it that a large majority of my bots can outwedge HNM4 but not FnF...
Are those large majority of your bots use skirts? or do they use small wedges? and oh, how do you stack skirts for wedges so that both of them have the same wedgeiness?

They use both. And the skirts, just make sure the hinges are symmetrical, and put one wedge on after the other.
can you give me a pic on how to put one wedge after the other? (i tried that but 1 wedge went ghost wedged into the floor and the other didn't and become not very wedgey.

I challenge Celestial Panda to a HW DSL fight:
*No cheatbot2
*No BFE,AAM, or Hax mode
*the battle will be held at Serge's Ring Arena
*Best out of 3
if Celestial Panda agrees then i'll make a thread in the challenge board.

@Pwnator

You do realize this is HnM 4 you're talking about, right? It's like failing to outweapon a crawler. It's fine.

Just make sure it can at least get under FnF.
yes, it can get under FnF(and also Lightspeed and that HW FS on the Cartoon Violence team)

I don't know, the last setup (2 Small Wedge on 2 2X40 DSL Bars (saves 1.1kg than using ordinary 2X80 DSL Bars for the same length)) failed to get under Hnm 4 (in the ring arena  :'( :'( :'( ) so, should i use skirts?

sooo it's just like HnM meets FnF
So long as it works, I guess.
you wanna find out? download it in the bot exchange. it's under the name Gauche Suede_Bot0.bot in the DSL HW section.

Mine's Shovel Headed Blockbuster.

Anyway, just rebuild your wedges. Your skirts holding the ploughs might also be lifting your front end up due to their odd collision mesh, but I can't really see.
do you have any tips on how to rebuild the wedge with?
and, this bot doesn't have 1 plow, but 2 plows!

Good! Looks a lot like my BTTB4 bot.
How many battlepacks? Also, I'd shorten the wedges slightly so you're harder to flank.
3 Battlepacks, 7 ants.
i'm having abit trouble with this bot. Everytime the match starts, i have to lower the metal hinges down to make sure that the bot moves straight.(which makes it unuseable for AI tournaments)how do i fix it?
and uh by the way, can i see your BTTB 4 Bot?

so yeah, got DSL downloaded into my dad's USB, and then added the DSL BBEANS AI pack to it, and here we go:
Midnight Star 3.1:

Plastic 3 Armor
and... unlike Midnight Star 1 and 2, this bot can now self right!

Guys, my laptop is getting fixed, so i'll won't post any new bots for a while. However, i'm now downloading DSL into my dad's USB(from my dad's laptop) so that i'll have a backup if my laptop's permanently damaged(which i'm sure for 99.9999999%). But, Midnight Sky 2 is finished, and will get a rebuild.(Midnight Sky 2 is basically the same but as Midnight Sky but with one Tite Sheet for protection, 16 Razors on 4 BSGs, and a wheel guard)
