The experience of being called ****tard, Fag, ect by an angry 12 year old who's 10X better than you at a game? I think I'll pass on that.
That's really only a summary of FPSs. With fighting games (Street Fighter especially) it's people who spam the same move (yes, I know that if I am actually good then I could get around it, but I still have the right to be pissed off about it). But then Co-op online with people you know is great fun. But online is not the be all and end all. Original Tetris doesn't have online... hell, nothing before the Dreamcast has online...and even some of the stuff after. Admittedly, a console without online capabilities brought out nowadays would probably be shunned by some people.
The last part isn't entirely true. I play Xbox 360 a lot and I'm currently playing Earthbound and Eternal Champions.
