Joe, a lance in RA2 would be a piston bot like Eye Poker, do we have to make a piston bot or whatever we want?

First, Eye Poker is a push bot, not a piston bot, your thinking of Eye Stabber.
Second, no. The rules clearly state the bot's weapon must be on burst motors.
Read the rules next time.
