Actually I hate to rain on your parade... but I think at one point a mod downgraded your rep by 700 and then upped it back up by 700 (hence why it looks like you have been applauded a bunch)  Take those two numbers away and you have appx 100 leftover of negative rep which is where you stand now.

On the bright side, you have gotten better around here. Your positive feedback and general niceness has been a nice change in you. Keep it up.  :D

Very nice! After watching the videos... The car grip looks unrealistic to me.  But it is hard to tell.  Do you think the game is really realistic in handling?

Analysis:

Hammer and the Cheese: Is that a burst I see peeking through there? Hammerbot and a SNS. These two misfits are going to cause quite a ruckus.

Twincycle of Ouchies: Soooo cool! Insane rear protection. Gonna be a bumpy ride though, would have gone with doubled beater bars instead of small teeth.

Wheel Bug: Gonna be fun to watch get destroyed. Brittle legs, I wonder if they will twitch on the arena floor like a real bug.

Moonlight Slaughter in E Flat: Amazing! I don't see how it will do much damage... but Amazing! *drool*

Corn Mauler: Slow... Top Heavy... no Srimech... Not as effective as you guys think. :P

Dozer: My fav bot of the tourney. It is so mean looking!

Vroom2011: Dark horse pick. I think this bot is more dangerous than it looks.

The Cake is a Fake: I hope that is a max-steel cake... because it looks delish!

Pummel Bass: You installed the kick hammer! <3 This one is going to seriously kick ass.

Washing Machine: SFTW... and there is nothing wrong with that!

Bi-Plane: Aw, so cute. Like little toys. Watching 'em zoom around will be a blast.

SnowBlown: That thing looks mean and effective. Looks like it is invertible too... very dangerous.

Chair of Pure Evil: Why do I have a funny feeling Scrap actually owns a chair like this.

Attention Shoppers: So awesome! Too bad the flippers will be too weak against SHW bots. We gotta film this thing pwning some beetleweights or something.

Drillinator: VICIOUS! Thank god it doesnt have metal hinge wedges, or I would say it is unstoppable. Love the use of plows!

Wild Card Entries:

CBBOD: Wolf has been dying to enter a tourney, so he built a rather uninspired brown box with spikes. Thankfully he used less than effective weapons... so he wont be rep-raped later.

Lapshade of Doom: I don't want that damn thing on my lap! looks like it would hurt! :P  Looks pretty mean, I think it will win the wildcard.

CFAMS: NICE! Glad to see that Badnik figured out something to build. Really imaginative too!

Air-Pain 1.5: Hard to see the weapons on this... or the landing gear... or... ??? how the heck does it fight? Can't wait to see it in action.

Wild Card Winner: La"M"pshade of Doom

Main Bracket Winner: Pummel Bass

Loser Bracket Winner: Drillinator

Dark Horse: Vroom2011

Son of Wyatchi (or however the bastards spelled its name), was very entertaining to watch, but I never tuned in often enough to know most of the robots.

SoW was awesome. I remember when I found out it was a shufflebot and couldn't believe it.

Excellent proof that you dont need wheels to have a combat effective bot.

Because... Everyone else was bragging about how well their bot was going to do in the tournament.

And all I can really brag about with my bot is association with a catchy tune.  :3

« on: April 17, 2011, 12:15:18 PM »
sorry for DP, but would they run normally if i cut off the bananna connectors and strip the wires?

I would imagine so.  Banana connectors just make it easy to remove (unplug) the motor if you need to swap it out.  If you strip the wires, bear in mind, it will be harder to swap the motor out if you were in a competition and it needed to be replaced.

When getting into a build, try to imagine scenarios that you might run into when in a competition.  This will make it easier for you to anticipate replacing parts if they get broken.

Pop it in a .zip/.rar with a screenshot, upload it to the file host, then put it next to the name on https://gametechmods.com/RA2wiki/index.php?title=Talk:Robot_Wars_Series_3_Mod

(Well, that's how I think we should be doing it)

Ah! o.k. Looks like Sonny is listed for the Victor 2 rep.  I will check with him before making any uploads/changes/catastrophes.

Could it be suggested that we start a new list for replicas we have/don't have?

If that happens, I can probably pop off a rep or two.  I'm kinda in a rep mood again.  :P

Also, doesn't Jack have a Victor 2 rep? We could use that for this.

Indeed! It's super accurate in a sense that is sucks as much as the original! :D
Should I put it on the bot exhange to make it available for this project?

Take that "quotes taken out of context thread!".

Oh so that was why you were asking how to get the beater out of a smartzone...

Well imma just say now that my bot isnt really that serious...
This'll be fun  :gawe:

Haha yeah. I wanted to make Thunder do some damage with the flipper (to pass the Dog Rule).  When I was getting ready to put a beater on the plate it attached in the smartzone.  :rage

After fixing that I just put a couple of rows of beaters on the flipper.  Nothing too obnoxious or un-realistic, but enough to do some damage in combat.  Frankly I was surprised that it beat the Dog on the first try.  Iif it didn't I wasn't going to be very motivated to fix it.

I would like to point out that any of you that use armour OTHER than plastic should be ashamed of yourselves.

Edit:

Use notepad++, search for the beater bars's .txt file and change this for the Txt file of a larger component. Or just change the beater's gmf.

Ah Ha! Thank you. Got that little bugger out of there. Man, what a silly scenario to get stuck in.
