-Nar, I used an analog control instead of a button or switch. As you know they don't always act kosher anyway, but the analog has been the most consistent for accurate on/off control of motors, in my coding experience. - Phil, Thanks, for your optimistic perspective of my work/me. But je suis juste une personne, and no more. Ceci est juste un passe-temps de prendre une 'pause' de travail. RA2 ne signifie rien dans la vie. I only like the logic of coding, allot like you too. It's fun to figure out. And thanks for your help, with the AI stuff, chart and feedback.. -SB, it was 'Coral Snake'. ...

Here's a handy AI.py: 'OmniRam_EnergyMiser'. It is a version of 'OmniRam' with an appended energy(Battery) saver. It uses an analog control to switch on/off quick-spin-up weapon motor(s). It turns the weapon motor off whenever the nearest enemy is 'x' (user set) distance away, thus potentially saving significant Bat. energy for when/where it's needed; toward the opponent (maneuvering and weapons). It is ideal for Face Spinners, etc...) with ramming tactic. OmniRam_EnergyMiser] OmniRam_EnergyMiser It is simple to use and the instructions are in the AI.py, including sample Bindings line. It was written for one of Somebody's bots that was weak on energy. Thought it'd be useful to save energy in general too, because many matches have been won/lost on available energy, for sure.PM or post any questions or feedback. *Credit to SC for the original OmniRam.py* ..[/URL]

i believe i said it could work out, but "there are too many categories. Might be true. no one wants the most unkind award". I don't agree here. since you didnt really fix this, it wasnt very good. like a lot of people have said, most of the categories were bogus. That's why I think we should take suggestions for valid categories, and then vote to ratify the top 15 (or so)... And in addition, I'm not sure the heirarchy (Admins/Mods) should be included in these Awards. But what do I know, I drive a Chevy.

Phil, that thing is so cool and freaky looking, it's hard to picture how it would function/do in battle. Do you have Fraps that you could link a vid and we could see it in action? Cool bot. Thanks. And thanks also for your help on the AI.py chart. How'd you mod the "FBS immobility management"?

Looks like you ARE lost. Well, this is forum on RA2. Try to post on-topic. Search before you ask a question. And feel free to show your bots in the bot showcase... lots of good, free help. And welcome.

S-32, maybe you could take suggestions of categories from the forum, and then get a vote on which of those categories should be used for this 'awards' idea of yours. BTW: if you offered cash prizes ($:-D$) some might be more motivated and involved.. hehe.

Hope he's ok too. No... or at least not yet, Reier. I'm trying to finish up Wham's tourney arena. I don't have the time to organize and run this, but several here do and can. Wait a bit to see if anyone will take this on.

I've tried several time in several ways. He'll be given a short time more to complete setting up this tourney or it'll be either cancelled or transferred to another... using the same arena.

load up killerhurtz to play "as" the bot, it crashes the game,... So basically, I want to play as killerhurtz, but as mentioned, it crashes the game,.. Are you trying to import an AI into a User Team so you can control it? Not sure if that's what you're asking. If the bot works as an AI, it will also work as a User bot. The surefire way to find out why a bot crashes the game, is to get Notepad++ and open the bot file. Then, go through the components (and their addresses) to make sure there are no anomalies such as:1. that all of the components in the bot are also installed in your game.2. then make sure the addresses to those components are right (esp. 'Styles' components). This is easier than you may think, so give it a try. ---- If you need further help with this you can ask ACAMS, for according to Goose he AAMs most of his bots anyway:LIES. you have WAY... WAY more AAM bots then me. (sneaky dude) ...

I don't remember and I can't find that AI.py. Don't know who wrote that one, either. Could one of you guys PM it to me please,... though I would trust Phil and Trov's assessment.
