If it is skinned the filesize usually jumps up to just over a thousand. That makes no sense. Every bot has a skin, blank or photoshopped. So bots still are usually 300~350kb regardless of skin. Unless you managed to use a larger skin file for the bot.

Hell yes. Gonna love seeing the original Double Damage.. and then tear it to shreds.
EDIT: Think of this post as a longing for the future. I installed this pack thinking it was a combination of both DSL and stock for some reason. And it took about 8 minutes in the game to figure out that it's just stock. Glad I used a backup version of DSL.

Cool bot, Click. Heck, a lot of you said Somestrangeguy's wacky HS/VS hybrid with 4 maces was too good, yet no one has mentioned Big Box, which has twice as many maces. I think it's because the maces on mine are used ineffectively. Maces in reality are weapons to be swung, ya'know? Not virtually poking your enemy (while being swung at a right angle to their general direction) While they do provide a decent frontal defence, there's nothing stopping BB being flipped, or anything going around the side. Also, wasn't the original Big Box a SHW with a maximum-size chassis filled with a bunch of random weapons? Or am I thinking of something else. I don't actually remember the bot, I just remember you (Redline) talking about it. Something else, dunno what. Did talk about Big Box but only in the form as you see it here.

Which is clearly Redline's. Dunno how anyone mistook it for Sage... I didn't even enter. Sorry. Around about the same time I went into DSL General Discussion asking HOW to make a hammer bot.. #5 as you said... I wouldn't expose the wedge extenders like that. Or use upside-down snowplows.

High guys..if been a fan of robot wars and battle bots for years and now finally i can build my dream bot and compete without spending thousands of moola..one problem though...before I buy the game to compete or play online is there a ping cutoff? because I'm not quite sure how my ping will fair competing on overseas servers, I doubt there is any local servers here...ur input would be appreciated..thanx Competing online isn't really that stable anymore. The actual system used for online (Gamespy) doesn't support RA2 anymore, so now we use the LAN feature and Hamachi. The problem with that though is that there is severe packet loss. Short answer - nobody will notice.

Are you sure you don't have an original? Ok, time for the good ol' recap involving a lot of guessing.. - 2004 - Pirated game at some point, put it on Nan's computer and own. Said HW bot is on my Nan's PC. 2005 ~ 2006 - Own PC formatted a few times. At some point I stopped playing. Also at some point I got the actual CD. 2007 - Another format. By now I wasn't going up Nan's much. No point in exporting and putting it onto a disk because.. well, who knew n00b Warz was going to happen back then? 2008 - Nan's Win2000 PC replaced with a even worse performing Vista PC. RA2 is not installed on it. To put it basically - My original "copies" of RA2 are gone. Like I said several times before. Don't worry though.. unlike Klavier it's going to actually look like a n00b bot.

It's new to the community. Earlier only a select few knew how to use it. That's what i meant. Still doesn't explain my AAM uses in 2007. I was virtually still in noob mode back then, so how the knowledge went "that low" is a mystery.. unless someone knows?

Yeah, I know I'm not to be here. AAM is not new sage. Going with what Nar said, if AAM is new then I wouldn't of known it and used it on multiple accounts in 2007 (To what extend I'm not sure, but it's not hard to figure out it wasn't exactly used effectively).. or even earlier. Unless your idea of new is in a timespan of 2~3 years, Sage.
