So we have IRL tournaments already, but what about an even more realistic tournament that mimics real life competitions? I can't be the only one that gets fed up seeing a robot get the crap beaten out of it in a semi-final match and only beat its opponent on a technicality, then go on to dominate the grand final seemingly unscathed from its previous fight. If your robot takes a lot of damage, then expect it to continue damaged with minor repairs in later stages. Same goes for the arena. If someone breaks a pulverizer or a killsaw, then it won't be functional for the next couple of matches. As saws, hammers, and other things pound on the arena floor, dents and scratches will start to appear on the surface.
I could do this, only problem is I suck balls at AI'ing and as it stands, nobody wants another IRL competition until 2015 at the earliest.
Click did something like that in stock. Look for Ironbot.

I expect Gelos to do well just by rolling over everyone when they try to pit him XD
But Dragon Con doesn't have a pit...

I understand the reasons behind banning spinners, but I also agree that a fight amongst four heavyweight flippers is just boring and dumb.

I once had a dream about me going from Being tied to a chair by my grandfather, getting sent to a plane to fly home, meeting up with my family and running into the New age outlaws (Wrestling tag team) and ending up having a conversation about the Battlebots middleweight division for some reason. I was driving home to see I was room mates with- Marmaduke, A Pig, A Charizard, The Superheavyweight No Apologies, Brendan Fraser, And a couple of other people. Fraser and No Apologies were always gardening for some reason (I also saw them burrying the driver of Punjar in my yard) , The Charizard talked and was my roomate, Marmaduke has adult actions with the pig, who tried to abuse me, And the dream ended by all of us gathering and watching Battlebots Reruns.
Pretty Awesome dream.
Can I get the number of your dealer?

Bitches don't know about Rico Abreu... All jokes aside, he's pretty ****in' boss in a sprint car or midget.

Waitwhut? Purple colouring?! Thank you whoever may have done this/suggested it or whatnot, very much appreciated! :)
I'm leaving. Goodbye everyone.
Might join you. Perhaps I'll take up a career in Mississippi Riverboat gambling or something. (Seriously though, congrats on the new Vet status, Craig. )
Never stop in Missouri, please

Frostbite's wheels aren't in regular DSL... Really the only robot that doesn't strike me as completely IRL is Senstro's, but even then it's borderline. Looks like it'll be a good competition.
Sure, if they use burst wedges on a VS in real life.

>search engine
Engine =/= motor
Technically, motor is a synonym for engine (although, search motor isn't right, regardless). In all honesty, I thought Naryar was just making a joke when he said it.
Technically, an engine is a type of motor, but yeah... Search motor is just wrong. Okay, BOT please? :P
It's been resolved. Now we're discussing Naryar's abuse of the English language.

Sure, if you type the actual name of the forum in, but if you're just searching something related to GTM like Battlebots or Robot Wars, they'll omit us in favor of showing cleaner sites.

Profille > Modify Profile > Look and layout > Uncheck leave words uncensored if you don't want to see words like that in the future.
If this is possible, then why is it a rule that we can't swear?
Foul language removes us from search engines.
Trov has explained this before. Playground is off-limits to anyone who hasn't joined it so it won't affect GTM showing up on search engines.
