Ok, so I've tried a few different things, and it seems like the weapon motion isn't the problem, at least not the only, because even if I don't activate the weapon, Krampus gets under it with ease. It really does pulverize anything that can't get under it though. I'm kinda scared of what what would happen if the wedges were good.

Making them bigger and further apart generally makes then better, within reason, of course. I have literally no idea why, but it's just how it seems to work. I'd try going up a size or two with your skirts, and making the angle just a tad steeper. Any way you could get them wider would also help. For some reason any boy whose wedges go wider than yours a la Krampus, will be able to get under you. The exception being if you get inside their wedges and hit the chassis before their wedges reach you, so you could always try one long skirt in the center instead. Won't help you against bots with full wedge coverage, but might be worth testing.

Your bot looks pretty beast man, I think if I'd entered any other bot type (besides flipper) you'd have won. If you find a way to fit some angle skirts on there, then you'll be ai'ght. I'm pretty damn pleased with Krampus though. Too bad Christmas BOTM is already over.  .

did those dark plates just stack like that first try?
its a good design but I think you want to find a way to get more juice and I doubt 1 DDT is as strong as would be good. You can get by on a beta I think. Some of my hw popups have 4 DDTs  Other than that it looks real solid. I'm guessing you're going more for speed to slam somebody out of the arena than pure ddt flipping power.

Yeah, it doesn't so much flip as it slams bots into walls then pins them while it hits their chassis. I thought about at least upgrading to a beta, but I'd have to rework the chassis and downgrade the armor (titanium 10), and honestly, it works pretty well as is. I did have more batteries, but I took them out for more weapons/ armor. We'll see how it goes. And yes, those armor plates stacked pretty easily, but only when I put the left one on first for some reason.

Threw together a bot to fight Rier with, and ended up going all-out. Just in time for Christmas, I present, KRAMPUS!  Popups kinda suck in ironforge, but he does alright. Weight is 598.4 with 4 ballasts.

Yeah it does but, the problem with that line of thought though is, that's mainly because the game is good concept-wise, not so much because the game is in itself actually good at all. In terms of all the parts that make a game, soundtrack, graphics, online, physics, single player, level design. It's all pretty dreadful. It's kept a following purely on the basis that it's the only one of its type on the market, not because the game is well made.

They would have to be trying pretty hard to not make a better game than robot arena 2. That game was basically broken but we loved in spite of its flaws and sometimes because of them. It at the very least it should have better physics than robot arena 2. The only way I could see theme ruining it is making it less customizable.
