Apparently people find it funny... and just think Trov was working on the botexchange for us. Hopefully none of his work is ruined and the bots aren't lost.
well the bots are lost from the current bot exchange, dunno if the new one will change that.

I'm sure they can be recovered though. Nothing is ever really 'gone'

Right heres all the drop zone objects I came across, there may be more. https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Drop Zone Objects.rar
I've noticed in the textures folder there are .rwm files, would these mean anything? They open up as a page-full of gibberish in notepad.
probably obscure picture files...

Sprint = Timed sprint in a straight line.
Long jump = Hitting a ramp at speed and firing a weapon.
High jump = You could make actual jumping bots with flippers etc.
Weight-lifting = An event for lifters!  :gawe:
Javelin = basically see who can throw the object the longest distance (flippers/Popups/Pokers).
Boxing = Boxing bots battle inside a boxing ring, three-knockdown rule or KO for knocking off the head.
Fencing = Kind of like Kings of Karnage tournament(?)
Wrestling = Still figuring this out, I want it to involve pinning the other bot.
Gymnastics = Tricks! judged on style.
Most of which can be made using a KOTH gametype, like Sprint, Long jump and Gymnastics

Fencing could be like 2 hammer bots going at eachother

This really makes me wonder what Noodle's deal is.  Bi-polar? Undramatic life? Sugar Cereal overload?

He goes from cool to twat in 150 mph flat.

When I get bored... I go to bar & hang out with some friends.  Not waste my time stirring up forums on the internet for attention.
Source: Noodle's GTM Skype group

I know he gets uberstressed9001 from being in college, I remember him bawwing and complaining about how college is so boring and pointless and he just wants to quit and get a boring job and be useless in life or something like that, so there's that.

Probably a few other things but I'm above broadcasting Noodle's personal life.

Custom Components Showcase / Re: The Collins Custom Showcase

oh god koss stop failing plz
okay, okay hold on here.

Insignia: I see stock extenders, twm3rs, beaters, casters, shiny hubs and drums. Mostly cheatbot2
Clerisy: Beaters, stock extenders, casters, a perm, a DSL bar and ruiner parts (I think). Still, cheatbot2
Cheap Surgery 3: Drums, beaters, stock extenders, DSL wheels and a flatmotor. Ditto.
Elvira: Hypno wheels, DSL disks, beaters, and the only possibly custom parts I see are whatever is sticking out of the top and the spin motor, but that was before my post.
Elvira 2: Stackable Gothic axes (lol effe glitch...), a different looking burst with a different attachment point, skinned hexplates(?), and then hypnos, steel extenders and a Y-extender. Again, before my post.

And, I don't even use Firebeetle's custom components pack, so I had no idea. Sheesh.
stock + dsl = custom
but stock parts are in dsl cheatbot2...

you got me with the effe though. Usually I forget all about glitches when I see DSL

Bold Defiance - 3mm alu (boo) - npcf - 3 ants

yeah let's see how it can unstuck itself with one piston.
I'd probably accept it for GiE, but probably you can base it off of Gropaga's Zero, you can get it from the Bot Exchange.
Naryar, remember when i said that? Here's Gropaga's Zero. ( Viewed from above )

You're the first tournament host that I know who is openly showing everyone else someone's entry without the competitor's consent.

you might rustle some jimmies doing that. Unless, of course that's not an entry at all and I'm really really tired.

The Executioner S5.  It uses Wham's custom crusher motor that goes about 90 degrees.
(Image removed from quote.)
Personally I think it'd be closer if you used reskinned slim wheels (forgot what they're called) or the bicycle/motorcycle wheels and reskin those, but other than that it's spot-on  :claping

Wedges (BAWWW INEFFECTIVE WEDGES BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY INEFFICIENCY MUST MEAN IRL - IRL haters) are ghey but it's solid.
So does this mean Hazard was ghey then????????????????

This.

In my opinion, They're not ghey as long as it doesn't depend on the wedge. I've never seen a bar spinner that did.
That's a good defense, actually.

I do wish that you could work the wedge into the chassis and make it look a little better, but I guess that defense is reasonable enough.

Stock can be effective and realistic at the same time;

See: Clickbeetle's Stock Showcase
lol what? click doesnt build realistic. im pretty sure he did at one point back e-ages ago but most of his bots in his showcase are unrealistic.
yeah, the e-ages thing is what I'm referring to. And those were still mostly realistic and effective bots (however out of date they might be)

Erm.

But ok, if that's how it is, then I'll stop. No arguments there.

I'd like to request that this thread be locked, if at all possible.
There's really nothing more that can be said here. I'll keep building some stock machines, see if I can break my IRL habit, and come back to this section of the forum in a while to see if there are improvements.
Whoops. I thought you meant glomod

you're weak...blah blah blah.....I have always been blunt and straight forward. get used to it

I would expect something perhaps a little more courteous from a moderator.

I have not claimed that I am being ripped into.

I have said that I am mistaken, and that I have interpreted posts in the wrong way.

I have apologized and am willing to move on.

You, however, are continuing to beat your point into the ground, you refuse to even achknowledge that I'm taking responsibility for my actions and you are starting to become rather obnoxious about it.

I do not wish to start degrading into one of your little showcase flame wars that I've seen around from some users and trolls, but your attitude is starting to rile me.
Stop there.

Inf is a straight-foward type of person. No sugar coating, no creamer, no cranberry juice. You're getting the dough of the donut, the black of the coffee, the sting of the Vodka. I'll get back to that in a sec.

Inf is also not a moderator, but a veteran, and just as how there are no restrictions to what you can and cannot build, there are no restrictions (well, some) on the way that advice or criticism can be given. Like I said, Inf will slap you unto oblivion for the smallest and slightest of errors and getting defensive on him will spark a flame war, no matter how soft spoken you go about it.

He's also not about to say "okay apology accepted lets have a makeup session now" and will (WILL) keep telling you what you should do until you do it and it's your choice whether you do or do not. I suggest you drop the subject and keep trying.

Stock can be effective and realistic at the same time;

See: Clickbeetle's Stock Showcase

Also, Mazakari, you build whatever you damn well please. If Stock or DSL even had to be competitive, then IRL wouldn't be as prominent as it is right now, Art bots wouldn't exist and building for the rule of cool wouldn't exist either. You cannot get banned from GTM for building artsy, non-competitive bots, DSL OR Stock. I know this because Domanating's bots (Or most of them, anyway) are ineffective and look really cool yet we still always love his bots.

You're taking this blunt advice a lot better than the other newbies who'd gotten it. F33l speshul

So, make replicas, make Stock IRL bots, make physics breaking 36-mace HS's or ub3rgh3y crawlers or freakbots. There'll be people who'll try, but no one's truly stopping you from doing so.

cheatbot2 =/= custom components

Well, it's IRL.

Wedges (BAWWW INEFFECTIVE WEDGES BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY INEFFICIENCY MUST MEAN IRL - IRL haters) are ghey but it's solid. I like the thing you did with the DSL bars; having them widen to the size of the hammers. That was a neat little touch,

#2 gets my vote, and it's clear that it's Venko's

It's almost like there were a pack of SHW-Infinite bots and one of them started eating all the others and turned into that, it's just a big honkin' brick of death.

#3 is funny though. "Injuryed"
