Challenge Board / Re: RedAce vs. Thrackerzod (Battle)« on: March 27, 2015, 05:48:37 PM »
You could at least give Redace a chance to send a non-havok ridden bot instead of just DQ'ing him right off the bat. You really shouldn't have accepted a bot that havoks every match.

I dunno, Jiggs still feels really gimped from her melee glory days, especially her rest. Hitbox seems to be a little bit bigger on it as a tradeoff, at least.
Requesting G&W or duck hunt next. 1064

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Thrackerzod is bad at DSL« on: March 12, 2015, 08:19:20 PM »You can test it out for yourself. Put your drive+batt+CB in an empty chassis and put on your wheels, then put a bunch of ballast (!!!) on one side of the chassis. It won't veer when you test it.Left/right veering when driving forward is determined by weight distribution at the moment you attach your wheels. You can't seriously be getting this wrong after "seven years of experience" Naryar. Then take the wheels off and put them on again while the chassis weight is still unbalanced. It'll veer in the direction you put the weight in. RA2 takes a measure of what the weight distribution is when you put on the wheels, hence why reattaching the wheels sometimes fixes veering. It's kind of dumb but so is the fact that tribars only have collision on one arm and that a good chunk of the stock and DSL components are literally useless. 1070

Discussion / Re: Ruleset for balancing bot types.« on: March 12, 2015, 04:27:59 PM »Juggler : -10%Well, I'm not going to build any jugglers ever again then. They barely perform up to par with popups to begin with and if this ruleset makes them even worse. By the way, good luck making % values for bots that fall in the grey area. Is a RAD spam gutripper a HS or a juggler? How about "clamps" that use popup weapons as the flipper? Or how about those 2004-era chained HS that get ripped apart by everything now? Do those fall under the same category as 36+HS, and thus get NERFED even more? Overall 4/10 would not follow 1072
Stock Showcases / Re: Battleshots« on: March 11, 2015, 08:39:58 PM »Pierce is pretty mediocre too. Normals really screw it over.mini cyclone is probably one of the worst AWs in ASAI btw I might have to DECLARE WAR if you can get Mini Cyclone to beat Anty C/Mini Dolsa/Mini Speedy or one of the SnS though. 1073
Stock Showcases / Re: RedAce's Stock Market« on: March 11, 2015, 08:24:10 PM »I've never had that problem. Heads up redace, it's usually a very bad idea to put your drive on an axle in any instance that isn't an NCR glitch SnS (and even those can be finicky). If you don't just havok OOTA you're going to have a hard time driving. I would suggest using two anchors underneath the nifty. mini cyclone is probably one of the worst AWs in ASAI btw 1074

Discussion / Re: Ideas for Improving Components« on: March 09, 2015, 07:00:09 PM »
I think matches would be more exciting for longer if batteries had an infinite/very high amount of electotal and were only balanced around size + weight + elecmaxinoutrate. Sometimes robots start slowing down to a crawl turning the fight into a boring pushfest.
On this note, I reckon EMERGENCY should be a component just like SFTW was.EMERGENCY has both burst motors and spinning parts, so no. 1077
